I can get it for 60 bucks. Should I go for it?
If you have to ask, no. But yes.
at least get it for the ninth disc that's not available in the individual releases.
Is there an echo in here?
Yes. It's the "Everything you wanted to know about the Alien Saga but were afraid to ask" set. But if you have the original discs, don't get rid of them. A few things didn't make the jump from the old releases to the Quadrilogy.
$60 is a good price, go for it.
As if you needed any more encouragement, yes you should get it. It is one of the best sets I have in collection maybe the best.
that is sound advice.. i should probably take it myself sometimes
Even if you don't like it, get it. Coz you SHOULD like it.
I'd get it if it was $100. This set is amazing, you'll love it. I got mine for like $50 at FYE when it first came out.
i got mine when in the 20% DDD sale last december... still havent watched any of it.. correction, i watched 2 minutes of Alien to see how good the director's cut looked (it looked damn good FYI)
Let´s see... 60 buck for EIGHT movies (each one has two versions), plus a gazillion hours of extras, hidden secrets & gory pics... I´d say yes, but who knows?
Does a bear shit in the woods?
If a bear shit in the woods but no one is there to see, does it smells?
hell yeah you should get it? What kind of dumb question is that anyway
No... Wait, did I say no? 'Cause I meant yes.
it is the best set availible, and I believe contains the best single disks availible. Yes get it if you are a fan of the series, because the only better set you will ever find is the japanese R2 of the same set (comes with the swanky alien head case)
IMO it's probably the best "franchise" boxset collection ever. All it's missing is the Ridley Scott solo commentary from the old dvd, and $60 is a nice price (esp. for so long after it was released. You know how everything is cheaper on release week.)
GET IT, WATCH THE EXTENDED VERSION OF #3, LOVE IT!!!!!
Question. I have the Collector's Editions of Alien, Aliens, and Alien³, that were released at the same time as the Quadrilogy. I was originally only going to get Alien and Aliens but slowly I've been wanting to get them all. Should I shell out for the Quadrilogy or just buy the remaining CE that I need, being Alien Ressurection? Is the ninth disc worth it? Are the features on it not on any of the other discs? Any help appreciated greatly!
It's an astounding collection, second only to The Nightmare on Elm St. Collection as far as the box sets I've seen. I just like the Nightmare films better, the Alien package is in many ways superior.
