I don't know how I could've missed this being released! Amazon is now selling "Shadow of the Hawk", the freaky 1976 Jan Michael Vincent horror movie. Overall, it's cheezy stuff, but has some great spooky moments. This movie frightened me as a kid, especially that evil spirit with the white mask whenever it appeared. I've been wanting an official release for over a decade. Sadly, it's Manufacture-on-Demand DVD-R media. Here's the cover artwork, which looks like some kid colored it with crayons. Here's the custom cover I made for it many years ago for my recorded-off-Superchannel DVD-R.
I liked that one as a kid,saw it at the drive-in actually.Used to show up on TV once in a while (even turned up on prime time,ABC I think) but I haven't seen it in years.Love to revisit it.
I bought it recently for under $14 at ImportCDs.com. The 16x9 progressive transfer is pretty solid, it's good to see this one again after so many years. This is one of those releases that just "plays" though...no menu of any kind on the disc. That coverart you posted looks far better Doombear. I'd love to have that in hi-res.
Just got around to watching. What a great little hidden gem. That ghost mask Indian dood is so creepy, love it. How about the guy in the bear suit  Also, how much does Marilyn Hassett look like Alyssa Milano? Uncanny.
