The Severin disc includes a "Stills Gallery" that runs about 9 minutes in length, but that's the sole difference between it and the Second Sight release.

SS did reissue a standard edition of it in the UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Changeling-Blu-ray/dp/B07GJ74C8C/?tag=horrdigi-20&linkCode=ur1

Oh. Good to know. Just wish I knew before the shipping went through the roof. Every time I check the amazon uk site it just link me to the oop special edition.

So these clowns have not one but TWO new Jess Franco films coming out on Blu-ray debuting during the sale tomorrow? I don't get it - his films are total garbage. If it wasn't for the random, gratuitous sex sprinkled throughout, would anyone genuinely enjoy his films? Blue Underground was obsessed with Franco too but they saw the light and stopped releasing his stuff. I guess someone had to pick up the baton. Actually, Severin are a good home for these movies since they're also a shit company.

Personally I will buy any Jess Franco that is English friendly on blu-ray. No, I don't think he is the master film maker of the 20th century but many of his films are interesting and entertaining. If his films were total garbage as you say I don't see how he would have been able to finance the 200 films he made during his career. Be happy that you don't need to purchase these and can use your money for something else.

Him making 200 films is the reason his films are crappy - he churned them out so quickly that quality was the last thing on his mind. He was a director-for-hire. The ripoff artist producers who hired him just wanted product to fill double bills at drive-ins. I've yet to watch a single Franco film I couldn't finish. I tried.

To each there own. Franco is, personally, my favourite director (I even have a Jess Franco tattoo). And the two Francos are my most anticipated of the new Severin releases. His films are definitely an acquired taste, and you definitely have to see more than a large handful to truly appreciate Franco's absolute obsession with film (I've seen well over a hundred). Sure he's made some crap films, but he's also made some absolutely masterpieces, and his films all have his individual stamp.

Wow. The Severin website is failing again. On a side note not related to this sale(and today) Maybe it's just me , but anytime I go to Severin, it has to be the slowest loading website out of any Blu-ray dealer Ive been to. Plus, it's ... sorta hard to explain, a very awkward site imo.

    From their Facebook:

Imho, I wouldn't suggest anyone buy through emailing them an order. Let them fix the site first. You know they are gonna mess orders up. Plus it's not safe, what emailing them your CC#? Yeah, ok.

^^ I suggested they do exactly that earlier. I don't know if they saw that, or if other people suggested the same thing... but it would sure be a helluva lot easier than going through their website nightmare.

Re: email. Just email them the titles and they'll generate a PayPal invoice for you. No way should you send CC info.

That is also what Severin suggests.

Considering Severin seems to always have site issues when it comes to their sales, I find it very surprising that they haven't gotten this issue fixed. It looks like they should be filed next to Code Red as: joke company.

I think they'll have no choice but to get it fixed now. It was slow and annoying on previous sales... but the website was crippled almost completely this time around. Unless they want to sort through correcting all the orders/payments or resorting to manual email orders again, they'll have to get it fixed this time.

It takes money to purchase quality IT services and/or equipment - Severin would rather spend that money on pasties for fat guys and locker room stickers. I only want Demonia but I'll wait until 88 Films announces their version. Their slipcover will be cooler.

Finally got my e-mail invoice last night :D, I was starting to give up hope since I was one of the first to e-mail them. Anyway I'm all set for this sale, Let's hope they fix shit before the next sale because this was a debacle.

No surprise really, the older Severin Blu-ray looked like utter crap.
