I own that one also. The only bad thing is that it's 1080i and has lossy audio, so there's certainly room for improvement.

The thing that I really miss about buying from Severin is getting the replacement discs that are actually inferior to their original defective disc.

Honestly, The Changeling was the proverbial straw that broke me.

I'm right there with you. Generally, when I purchase a fairly expensive limited edition of a movie--and then jump through the hoops of an annoying replacement program--I don't anticipate having to rip and remux audio and video tracks from 2 different discs to make my own custom composite version.

Severin could be so much better if they would stop focusing so much time and energy on the extra "bling" items and concentrate more on the quality of their releases.

I mean a Slipcover or Poster is one thing, but bling crap like car air fresheners and plastic picture frames? Geez.

    ***NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT***

In the video below, David Gregory from Severin Films mentions that Severin has completed a brand new scan of Sergio Martino’s “The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh” (1971) from its Original Camera Negative. Fritz Böttger’s “Horrors of Spider Island” AKA “The Spiders Web” (1960) is also mentioned to be receiving a new scan, with eventual Blu-ray releases coming for both!

I saw a double bill of STRANGE VICE...with THE BIRD WITH THE CRYSTAL PLUMMAGE a few years ago at the (sadly defunct) Colony Theater in Raleigh N.C. Both 35mm prints were a bit faded but intact and it was a lot of fun. They were both reissue prints from 21st Century featuring the alternate titles, VICE titled THE NEXT VICTIM and BIRD as THE PHANTOM OF TERROR.

When will Severin finally give us the details on that Milligan set they prematurely announced late last year and, more importantly, when will I be able to pre-order it?!?! No info in like 9 months... :/

    Not coming from Severin, sorry.

Hey friends, sorry to disappoint but contrary to the internet's assertions, GREAT WHITE aka THE LAST SHARK is not coming out through us. Bit of misinformation leaked as a result of a sharksploitation interview we recently shot. We did inquire about it with the producers some months back but GREAT WHITE is now wholly the property of Universal in the US. Which renders it well above our pay grade, alas.

^ Scream / Shout Factory license from Universal, so this could put it in their wheelhouse?

However, I wouldn't be surprised if Universal bought it just to keep it buried. I know the movie rips off Jaws and Jaws 2 a bit, but Universal themselves heavily ripped it off for Jaws 3D. In fact, there's an entire sequence Universal lifted right out of it.

I also have the RetroVision DVD. If Universal has it now though, the chances of a licensed Blu-ray are at least possible perhaps. At least the film sounds like it's no longer in legal limbo land.

Not really a review unfortunately, I was waiting for him to talk about transfers, but no he just moaned about incorrect artwork for the first and font issues, I'm sure some people will find this informative, for me no.

I want Paganini Horror but would rather it be from Amazon, will the dual disc slipcase version likely show up there?
