Great news to have a release date for Day of the Animals (relatively soon too!) after he reported redoing the HD transfers from scratch. That extra effort took this title from my "buy it someday" list and placed it in my "buy it day one" list for me.

Plus, it's Leslie Nielsen. I think my friends will really dig a screening of it.

Another blu debut from Scorpion Releasing, it's William Girdler's DAY OF THE ANIMALS (1977)! Mining similar territory as the production team's prior surprise hit, GRIZZLY (1976), this time we find a group of hikers, led by Christopher and Lynda Day George, stalked by an escalatingly exacerbated series of wigged-out wildlife, including rattlesnakes, vultures, puma, feral dogs, another grizzly, and... uh, an ozone-juiced Leslie Nielson. An enjoyably crazed nature-goes-nuts romp, DAY OF THE ANIMALS hasn't been seen in optimal condition since the '70s -- prior DVD releases were either brutally cropped from its 'scope ratio or taken from beat-up, substandard elements. Reportedly, Scorpion have located a pre-print source, allowing for a gorgeous hi-def transfer. I can't wait.

The U.S. theatrical trailer isn't available online and the TV spot is boring, so here's a preview dubbed into German!

I thought Lurkers/Die Sister Die was a 2014 release. Glad to know it'll be out soon!

Finally broke down and ordered My Tutor. Who was I kidding? And I really want to support eighties teen sex comedies on BD.

I've never seen Day of the Animals; but it looks like a cool-ass release.

    Hell Yes! THE POWER!!!

Since Walter seems to frequent this thread on occasion, I have a question that hopefully he can shed light on.

On the DVD of Alley Cat there is a trailer for Don't Go in the House. Is that a hinting that a possible DVD re-release is in our future?... or *hopefully* a blu-ray release?

Nice....zbinks comes through again. Thanks for wading through that bullshit forum so I don't have to.

We're still not even though... that Rocktober Blood faux release date... I am still coping with the depression from that one.

I'm wondering when we might see Grizzly, too. Walter had mentioned at the end of June that he was hoping for a November release on both Day of the Animals and Grizzly, but it looks like Grizzly won't be ready in time.

I always get Grizzly and Day of the Animals confused. Which one is coming out THIS YEAR?

I just finished watching The Monster Club and was surprised how good it looked and sounded on blu-ray. Scorpion really did a bang up job with this...a major upgrade to the dvd released by Pathfinder years ago.

I watched Monster Club last night and loved it as well. Fantastic picture quality.

I could watch John Carradine and Vincent Price shooting off puns in the Monster Club all damn day.

I pre-ordered Monster Club but it's just sitting at Amazon unshipped. Hopefully they'll ship this week. I can't wait to get it, I've always had a weird soft spot for that movie.

Been so busy, forgot to mention this! Two month ago, I did a brand new HD master of a long requested, somewhat campy and goofy sword and sorcery picture from the 80’s that has never been on DVD before. What is cool is that I have always heard of a longer cut existing of this title, so I had them pull the original elements and, yep, it is 10 minutes longer than the theatrical, VHS and cable version! Also did some extras on this so stay tuned for the BluRay and DVD release of this.
