Awesome! Definitely buying this one too. Someone from The Octagon may be visiting our karate dojo to teach a seminar in the near future. It won't be Chuck Norris though.

Some news on upcoming SD DVD releases. Originally I was going to double bill THE POWER with LURKERS due to poor elements on THE POWER, but we uncovered a much better element, so now we are going to release THE POWER as a standalone on DVD. LURKERS, which has been remastered from the original IP and the 3 trk mag in HD 16x9, will now be paired with the first officially licensed version of DIE SISTER DIE, taken from the original negatives and the 3 trk mag, and both releases will be a Katarina's Nightmare Theater title ! LURKERS/DIE SISTER DIE will be released on 11/26, THE POWER will be released 12/17.

Oh my GOD! I love Die Sister, Die!

And The Power? For some reason I thought Synapse was releasing it. Either way, awesome! So exciting!

Same here. Die Sister, Die! is a great early 70's gem. It's worth buying for that film alone, and I'm sure it'll look far better than the crappy $1 DVD's out there.

    And The Power? Awesome!

I haven't seen any of those. Very interested, though. Picked up Scorpion's edition of The Unseen. Haven't seen it before but I loved it.

Excellent! Mine shipped from DeepDiscount yesterday.

Too bad they couldn't get any interviews for it. The Betsy Russell interview on Tomboy was a lot of fun (I just wish she had addressed Cheerleader Camp, as that was the only movie in her career that wasn't discussed).

I hope these sell well enough to justify bringing My Chauffeur and Hunk to blu-ray.

I hope so too. Even a double feature release of those two would be nice.

I watched MY TUTOR for the first time. The transfer is excellent. There were many times where I was distracted by how much detail was on the screen. Unfortunately, outside of some frequent top-shelf nudity the film sucks. The characters aren't believable and the relationship between the young man and his tutor isn't properly handled. I really didn't care if they hooked up nor did I care if they made it work. Another failure is when the film creates these lame scenarios to get the lead and his best friend laid. They aren't clever or funny and some of them worked to sour me on the characters. MY TUTOR is a film that has been done better countless times.

The My Tutor Blu-ray looks damned near perfect. I was amazed at just how good it looked. It's definitely a big upgrade over the old DVD editions.

Yeah saw this review. even they gave the picture a 4.0 screen shots look great. Hey, ever notice that this movie was filmed in November of 1982, (the fall) but is supposed to take place around June. you can see all the dead leaves falling off the tress. Check out the scene where bonnie takes bobbys book when hes sitting in the park..
