I saved a little money with the shipping at Diabolik for the other 4 titles at least.

I'm just going to go ahead and place an order for Sorority House Massacre from the Scorpion site though.

In for Mortuary and SHM. Going to give Mortuary another chance. I've seen it twice and both times its done nothing for me.

Glad Stripped to Kill is going Blu after being announced as DVD-only. And is Where the Boys Are going Blu as well? I thought they only had a tape master?

One I must pick up. I'm glad Tim Lucas did a commentary. There can't be too many Bava films he hasn't done now. Since getting the old Anchor Bay Bava box, I've always wondered why he didn't do one for Kill, Baby, Kill!? That would have been welcomed.

 

He actually did do a commentary for Kill Baby Kill for the Dark Sky release but it was cancelled due to a rights scuffle. Pretty expensive now.

This is a new record, it only took three days to reach Sweden

I´m glad Scorpion will continue to work with Diabolik on shipping these movies internationally

 

I can't waits to see PLANET OF THE VAMPIRES. According to the review, I can see some scenes with the VHS re-score. I really loved that crazed electronic score and I regretted selling my VHS on Ebay.

 

So you're in Sweeden and you received yours and I'm literally 20 fucking minutes from where Diabolik ships and I'm still waiting? How the fuck does that work? The way Diabolik has handled these pre-orders and shipments is a fucking disaster. They've had these for almost two weeks and a lot of people are still waiting. For Christ's sake there weren't that many fucking pre-orders! How many were available through Diabolik? A couple hundred?!

 

Thanks for the information. Hopefully Arrow or somebody will release it with the commentary. I'm skeptical about the editorial quote that says it has a "FAR SUPERIOR picture transfer" when compared to the Anchor Bay release. I think the AB disc looks good for a DVD.

 

It was more than a couple hundred, because they kept increasing the number of copies when the stock ran low on the pre-orders. They're just not shipping things out in the sequence of the orders placed, that's the whole problem.

I did receive my 4 pre-orders earlier today though, and ordered with the first 30 minutes of when they first went up.

 

Good news, I also ordered the 4 nearly immediately and haven't heard anything since but fingers crossed for a mysterious package at my door tomorrow.

 

Did you receive a shipping notice letting you know they were coming or did your package just show up?

 

Received my copy of Girly yesterday.

I speeded up my own shipment by placing another order for 'Evils of the Night' (which was in stock at the time)... that came yesterday too! :lol:

 

Low and behold got the shipping notice moments ago. And I was one of the "early orderers" too.

I placed an order for Sorority House Massacre. I hope Scorpion has better shipping practices than Code Red (I was worried that SHM would be sold on CR's site). A tracking number to be provided when it's shipped would be nice!

Hopefully Scorpion gets SHM2 on blu-ray as well!
