Well here is a legit listing on Amazon. Just came out too. But it's manufactured on demand using DVD-R recordable media. http://www.amazon.com/Rocktober-Blood-Tray-Loren/dp/B00F9JE2JW/ref=sr_sp-atf_title_1_2?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1380260435&sr=1-2&keywords=rocktober+blood
Yeah, that's a definite bootleg. There's a bunch of these "Up All Nite Films" DVD-R's on Amazon, and from what I've heard they're basically all just VHS rips. Certainly not worth a $25 price.
Yup, that's definitely a bootleg. That company has bootlegs all over Amazon (Psycho Cop, Invisible Maniac, Surf II, Sorority Girls & The Creature From Hell, Girlfriend From Hell, etc). I'm surprised Amazon allows that.
The slasher website Hysteria Lives just posted an interview with Ferd Sebastian regarding The Single Girls and Rocktober Blood if anyone's interested.
Ha...they used a picture of my Rocktober Blood LP. Pretty good information on Claudia Jennings and The Single Girls, not a whole heck of a lot about Rocktober Blood. Should have asked about DVD releases...they said Rocktober Blood is still "tied up with legal"? Fuck!
Who in hell would want to tie this up in legal crap? It's not freggin fuckin Star Wars gimmie a f'n break!
Rocktober Blood coming to blu-ray? http://www.thescreamcast.com/2016/0...april-rocktober-blood-blu-ray-also-announced/
I wish there was more detail on the source, technical aspects. That's why I did to the Dead Next Door one, it was specific so I knew it would be quality.
It's up for sale now. https://www.rocktoberblood2.com/ $50 for the blu-ray $30 for the DVD Crazy pricing. Love the movie, but don't think I can pull the trigger unless they cut the price in half. Also, rumor seems to be that it's a BD-R.
Man, this movie would be a hard sell to me at half the price. It just isn't that great of a film. If it was $20 I'd consider it out of the novelty, but dropping serious coin on it is another matter.
Um, no. BD-R is immediate non-starter. Not paying for burned disc ever. $50 is about 20 nails in the coffin. Give me a pressed Blu from the cam neg with any kind of extras at $25 and you'd have a sale.
If the Sebastian's previous releases of their own work, the Gator Bait movies and Running Cool, are any indication to quality that's not hard to believe as those were just DVD-Rs...
IIRC, the initial copies of the Gator Bait released were DVD-R. They later switched to pressed discs for subsequent batches.
