Yeah I can't believe this series is still going. I guess it must have it's audience, although I can't say I've ever met any of them.

Yeah count me in as a fan. I'm not going to pretend they're "good" movies but they give me a lot of dumb bang for my buck.

    Looking forward to this one.

I've seen all the films and enjoy them as well. Milla does well in this role.

Enjoyable series. It's not going to win any Oscars but I'll buy a ticket and watch the next installment. It's too bad GAR didn't direct the first one...who knows where this franchise could have gone!

I haven't bought any of them but I keep renting them as they come out, so I guess I'm partially at fault.

Sorry, but the only enjoyable movie in the series was the first film, and even it hasn't aged very well... The last movie in the "franchise" was absolutely abysmal.

I agree. The zombies were great in the first film. The series got away from that and became what it is now. It's very successful, so obviously people like it, but it's not for me.

I thought the first one was kinda cool at times. Then I bought the second one on DVD as a blind buy. After the "backflip through a window on motorcycle in slow motion while shooting machine guns" type stuff I decided that this series wasn't for me.

The games were never really like that.

With the exception of the first two films, which are dumb fun, I can't see the appeal in this series. Each film gets progressively worse. Never bothered with Retribution, Afterlife was painful enough to sit through, so you can count me out of this one.

My 11 year old loves these so I have no choice in the matter. I liked the first one a lot but after that they just got worse and worse.

Each time we see one, he asks me: Are they going to make a sequel? I answer: If they make money, they're making a sequel.

Apparently this is going to be the last one? We'll see...

Ali Larter confirmed in cast, and she says this is it for the franchise (or this iteration thereof).

    Release Date: 01/27/2017

Mods, any way to change thread title to Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, please?

I never realized at the time, but that scene was a actually a tribute:

I believe Milla and Wes became engaged around the time this was being filmed so perhaps that is why they referenced that video. Plus, do you ever really need a reason to reference Billy Idol? ;)
