While NoShame has been delivering a consistent flow of new and interesting product, Dark Sky Films is another new DVD outfit that's been on a tear lately. They've acquired some big titles (MAGIC) and some interesting obscurities (FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE SPACE MONSTER) and look to offer a full package of quality, from the transfer to the extras. They've had a pretty busy slate recently of horror titles, which one are you most excited about?
While I'm quite happy to see a good release of Magic, finally, I'll have to go with Don't Go Near The Park as my most anticipated release.
although i wont be getting any of these magic is definitely the most tempting however my most anticipated dvd release of the year is coming in sept 2006 released by dark sky and will blow all of these releases away is the texas chainsaw massacre special edition 2 dvd set
my issue with them is they seem to goof on the OAR of the older titles, as they have a habit of over matting everything.
I have fond memories of Magic, having seen it as a kid. But my most anticipated is Don't Go Near The Park.
To date,MAGIC is the title that most interests me.That film had one of the creepiest trailers I remember from my childhood.
I haven't really seen a "don't" movie yet that i liked. in the house was ok, in the basement was unwatchable. Is near the park really that good? What is THE best "don't" movie out there?
Did anyone even see Magic or Don't Go Near the Park out in any retail stores? I couldn't find them anywhere on Tuesday, so alas, I ended up and ordered both last evening.
well i gave in and got both of these yesterday i couldnt find them anywhere tuesday so i went to my local dvd/music store and ordered them on tuesday and much to my surprise they got both of them in yesterday and i only paid $25 plus tax for both of them. i watched the magic dvd last very good dvd release great extras, sound and picture will watch dont go near the park dvd tonight and now i cant wait for the texas chainsaw special edition in september i just hope it will be easier to find in stores that's all
Dark sky is supposed to release Trilogy of Terror sometime in the future...can anyone tell me if that's the 1975 film with karen black or is it another movie?
Yep same film, and it's supposed to have a commentary track too! I had two copies of the old Anchor Bay DVD and just sold one for $90 on ebay a couple weeks back.
