Great film this. Creepy fairytale vibe and lot's of black humour to it. I'll be picking this up on Blu.

You'd think I'd know about this, working for a Finnish company and all....

After some recommendations in the modern Christmas Horror poll thread I decided to give this a view, after hearing at best mixed things on it. Although lots of people seem to have seen it I didn't see a lot of positive things being said.

I can understand why now. This film is more of an anti-joke than a comedy and toys with expectations while being unapologetic about it. I think Hitchcock would have loved it; comedy as black as coal. Gore, boobies and laugh-track? You're not going to find such crutches here. This is Finland.

The epilogue is a bit out of tone but after seeing the proceedings one can't help but think therein lies the rub. The production, acting, SFX/music and vast majority of the CGI are all splendid. Highly Recommended.

Did this movie recently go out of print on blu ray and dvd ? I was looking for a copy but the prices seem really high.

Amazon still has it in stock in both formats. It looks like it might be getting scarce at other retailers though, so it may be going OOP.
