Project Metal Beast (1995) - In 1974, an American agent in Eastern Europe injects himself with the blood of a werewolf. His body is put in suspended animation, then brought back 20 years later by a renegade intelligence agent. Stars Kane Hodder as Metal Beast Is this ever gonna get released on DVD? I am dying to own it.
Hehe, that poster looks like it's from 1974! The title is very 90s, though. Haven't ever heard about this film until now, so I can't be of any help ...
I haven't heard anything about a release, but I'd love to get it on DVD. I vaguely recall hearing somewhere there were some rights issues with getting a release.
Cool flick.I'd love to see a dvd release as well...there are just not enough armor plated werewolf flicks out there.
I saw some of this on TV once and it looked like cheesy fun. However, the movie was heavily edited so I lost Interest quickly. If it ever hits DVD I'd check it out again though.
I got this on a free rental a few years ago because it got a fairly good review by John Stanley in "Creature Features". I didn't like it. It has a totally generic, over-lit, early 90s DTV feel to it and I'm too old to appreciate that kind of thing, even on a nostalgiac level. IMO, that time frame was the dark age of horror.
Actually its out now release date June 16 my record store got it in so I got it but haven't had the chance to watch it https://www.amazon.com/Project-Meta...1592537274&sprefix=Project+met,aps,487&sr=8-2
From what I can find on the company putting it out - Invincible Entertainment- they own a catalog of various films, lots of films from the DTV era and into present day low budget indie stuff (they also co-financed/executive produced Kevin Smith's Yoga Hosers), and from the trailer they have on the website for Project: Metalbeast they likely only have a tape master so expect the DVD to be a full frame tape transfer, not a restored film scan.
I've wanted to see this for a few years because Musetta Vander from Oblivion is in it. Just realized I could check and see if it's on Roku..
