From the trailer, this actually looks like it might have some promise and an interesting take on the Bigfoot genre.

I think so too. It looks pretty brutal.

This had a one-night nationwide theatrical release back in February via Fathom Events. I had my eye on it, but I was traveling in Florida the night it screened and didn't have a chance to catch it.

Looks like it will be hitting VOD on May 1st for those who missed it in theaters.

Since this had a major one-night wide theatrical release, I figured it had to pretty decent to justify that.

Ultimately, it was fine, but pretty bland and forgettable. It's a notch above SyFy Channel fare for sure, due largely to the practical effects. Needed to be about 20 minutes shorter. For the first hour or so, it's an attractive young couple in the woods being intimidated by the evil local hillbillies, and every so often a bigfoot jumps out and kills someone. The kills are super fun and practical. Bigfoot here shoots a bow-and-arrow, and he's quite the marksman. I chuckled.

I had fun for an hour or so, but eventually it just became super repetitive. Definitely not as fun as Abominable, Exists, Demonwarp, Fear Runs Silent, etc, but as far as low-budget Bigfoot movies go, you could also do a lot worse.
