Yea, the quality control over there is worrying.

NECA usually make nice figures. That Jason sounds cool.

I thought it might be one of those. I think it looks neat. I think the idea is to have the clothes look a little big on them, like an old school toy. They also released a Freddy one which had a very oversized sweater on him.

So I guess NECA abandoned the regular 7" figures and just do the MEGO style now? These things look so ridiculous and the fact that they charge close to $30 for these things is just hilarious. I guess they finally ran out of Predator figures to make. NECA is a fucking joke anymore.

I don't mind seeing some variations with these figures.

Neca is a scalpers paradise charging $30 for a 8" figure is BS. Then you have to pay $12 to have it shipped just to rub salt in the wound. The last few deluxe figures they released were cheap shit. Hopefully this Jason lives figure is a step in the right direction.

I didn't know it's supposed to be that way. I probably won't get it then. I want something more realistic. I want something to put near the Friday the 13th DVD collection.

You should get a hockey masks or a statue. The statues are usually crazy expensive though :(

I think eventually Sideshow Toys will make a good Jason statue. The part 3 one they have coming out soon is good. But I just don't want a part 3 Jason. I've seen rumors that Pop Culture Shock might try some horror statues. The Comic Con is next week and they might announce something around then. They are making some good Mortal Kombat statues so Jason and Freddy from them could be good.

I've never dreamed of paying $400+ for a collectible, but this thing is tempting the fuck out of me....

For $400 that thing looks like shit. I'd never pay that for such a bland looking statue. Maybe if it was oozing detail it'd be different but I feel sorry for anyone who pays that much for this. What an absolute joke of a price.

Over the years Sideshow has substantially dropped in quality, yet maintains the same price point. I'm astonished that people are still paying their prices. If only Hot Toys did more horror. Their prices are insane, but at least their quality is as well.

I've never seen American Werewolf in London. But I thought that was a large dog at first. It is quarter scale so that's around the price many companies are charging these days. But I wouldn't pay it for that. I saw a Ghostbusters Terror Dog that looked good. I can't remember who made it or the price.

I guess this is the first in Pop Culture Shock's horror line. I'll look it up this weekend. I still want to see what they do with Jason. I hope it's not a general Jason either like the one Sideshow Toys did some time ago.

I love American Werewolf but I agree that $400 is steep.

That is a problem which needs correcting, and fast. :)

 You're crazy, thing looks fucking amazing.

I heard that the same company might do 1/6 scale and 7 inch figures from the movie, so I'm probably going to just wait for those.

It looks decent but no where near worth $400. For that price you'd probably be able to find a lifesize bust of the wolf head or beginnings of the transformation.

I agree with Zombie Dude. That doesn't look $400 good. I'm sure that is obviously the prototype piece and usually the paint apps on production pieces are of a lesser quality. Not a fan of that stair base either. I won't be getting it, but if I did, I'd commission a professional to repaint it.
