Seems like this isn't an official movie Predator. But you can tell it is a movie Predator.
Tweetterhead released these last year at $24.99 each. Now they're putting up their remaining stock for $14.99 Black Friday to Cyber Monday.
I'm a crazy person that didn't open up mine from last year so I bought another one at this price because maybe I'll open it...
It still kinda burns me that I was unaware of the 2017 releases and didn't get to order them.
I'm trying to save money these days but that's a cool ornament and I had to order one. Kind of glad I didn't know about it last year since it's cheaper now... :]
I still haven't seen an Elvira statue that I really want yet. But that one is a good price to not sting so much. Also, I was going to post about it as I thought I was going to get it. They released a new Elvira pinball game.
But it's a bit too busy for me. There are a couple older ones. Both are pretty expensive now I think.
I saw that Tweeterhead is teasing yet another Elvira statue. Maybe this next one will be their best.
Kotobukiya is continuing their female horror lineup. Leatherface will have normal cute girl and masked versions.
Prime 1 Studio showed a massive Alien Queen recently.
I was never crazy about Doom but for fans of that game you can't beat this statue.
Oh? I'll be curious to see any new Elvira maquette as it's been awhile. I see another company Department 56 is offering pre-orders for Elvira ornaments already but they appear to be of much lower quality compared to Tweeterhead.
And I've always found those Kotobukiya gender benders as pretty funny but with this we might be seeing the character's actual self image!
That Doom Guy statue is fucking mad. Wish I could get one but I imagine it's $$$
I don't know the scale but I think most of their quarter scale statues are in the $800 t0 $1000 range.
Toyfair was last week. I saw a company with an official Hellraiser puzzle box. NECA had the usual Alien, Predator, and other horror figures. Perhaps I should look into NECA again. I remember seeing one of their figures years ago in stores and the paint was way different than the images they put on their website. I haven't considered a NECA figure since.
Kotobukiya had unpainted versions of those three female horror figures I posted above. All three look good. But eventually they will run out of male characters to turn female. I think the last fairly popular one they could make are the Lost Boys. Other than that I think they made all the big ones now with Freddy, Jason, Myers, Leatherface, Pennywise, Pinhead, and Chucky.
I saw more Sam from Trick r Treat figures. I still need to find a good one. The idea of Sam walking around during Halloween is still very creepy even if I didn't like the movie as much as I thought I would.
A statue of Morrigan from the old Capcom Darkstalkers fighting video game. That game has a lot of Universal Monster inspired characters. I remember characters similar to The Mummy, Dracula, Wolfman, and Creature from the Black Lagoon.
I love when they do a good job with the blood base on these horror statues. I might get this one myself.
That is definitely a dope blood base.
I started a topic a while back because I found a hotel or something with a blood red swimming pool. I want something like that but only for October. I think that place did it with tiles though and it's like that all year.
I just read that the San Diego Comic Con is cancelled. I assume the New York Comic Con will be cancelled too. I read that a horror convention that was supposed to happen I think this month was delayed a few months till I think September. But I assume that will be cancelled as well. All big events will be cancelled until there is a vaccine.
So I guess companies will show items online during the time of these events. I would always look forward to new posters, figures, statues, and other items. Even if I wasn't purchasing. This really is like Ghosts of Mars, just not as fun.
The Del Mar Fair has also been cancelled which is just north of San Diego. Over 1.5 million people attend each year so that is over 10 times as big as the Comic Con. At this rate it's going to take a long long time for the economy to recover.
