Hopefully we'll get a widescreen release of Night of the Demons 2 w/ some special features.
Yes that would be awesome- I still have the full screen dvd release and would gladly upgrade
Well, that’s a great collection of movies and I really enjoyed the movie I've Always Loved You. It was one of my uncle’s favorite movies and he recommended me to watch it.
i think i missed this the first time i read this thread. anyway, Walter from Scorpion just posted on his facebook page that he's just finished producing a commentary track by Kevin Tenney, and some of the actors for the upcoming release. i only saw this once, a long time ago, and remember it kind of being shit, but interesting nonetheless.
Coming this April:
Nice - I'll be picking that one up for sure.
i guess they felt they had to change the cover art to differentiate it from the original release, but its a shame that this new art isn't nearly as nice.
This has never had a DVD or Blu-ray release though, has it? I thought it was only on VHS. I've never seen it, but I'd check it out. I remember it on video store shelves in the mid 90's.
Also, Olive has about the most random selection of titles of any distribution company ever. I like this about them. You never know what they're gonna put out. An obscure John Wayne B film from the 30's or Night of the Scarecrow. So far I only have their release of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, but I'm sure I'll pick up more titles in the future.
Night of the Scarecrow did have a German DVD release, but that only had a German audio dub...so was basically worthless.
This will be the first official domestic DVD/Blu-ray release.
Not to Germans.
Sure, if they prefer badly dubbed foreign movies.
No Boogens Guy?
ugh. so stupid. i confused it with Dark Night of the Scarecrow
No Boogens. I saw that one a long time back and it didn't exactly thrill me. I wouldn't mind taking another look, but $20.00 is a bit much to pay merely out of curiosity. Invasion is a favorite of mine and was well worth the price.
dave, DNOTS is up to its third release ATM. Two DVDs, 1 BD.
There was a nice WS rip floating about a while back, maybe have a look at that before taking the plunge? I have a very low tolerance for a lot of that 80s crap, but The Boogens isn't one of them, it is genuinely fun.
Yeah Boogens kicks ass, and I have a nostalgia love for it - used to be on all the time when I was young on HBO.
Actually, I have it on VHS. I bought it many years back. Now if I could only find my VCR....
So far, I've picked up The Boogens (love it!), Ticks, and the Jerry Lewis classic, Who's Minding The Store. Good picture quality on all three, but zero special features. Better than no disc at all though. Really looking forward to Night Of The Scarecrow.
