Oddly enough, the Arrow liner notes refer to the cover image as phallic, as in Monoson and Franklin together represent an erect penis. But looking at the way Monoson's jacket is strategically opened, I can see the vaginal imagery too. Maybe I miss shit like this though, because until I saw this post and went back to the liner notes, I never noticed it at all.
I emailed olive about the artwork and asked to change it. not that iam anybody or they will listen. but its worth a shot..

Love it. Arrow used this poster for the reversible art on their blu-ray release. Still clearly the best edition to own. ~Matt
Olive doesn't make HD masters, no reason to believe their Last American Virgin release would've been any better than Arrow's. I love the film so I'll probably grab this in addition to owning the Arrow release, if only so that I won't have to go through the hassle of changing the region code on my region-free player I'm just thankful it's out on Blu-ray and all the songs are intact.
LOL, you need to buy a new player. I sometimes fear that I won't be region free a some point down the road, so I can see picking up the Olive release as well. I feel the same way about COFFY, FOXY BROWN and THE SENTINEL.
What they did was make it able for non region free owners to get this on Blu-ray. but without the extras, I personally thought the transfer was rather too bright and colors didn't pop like they should have. but it is a bit sharper than the region 1 dvd..
Not sure if its arrows same transfer so here.. http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/69131/last-american-virgin/
