Considering I don't have Fright Night in my collection, might have to pick up Eureka version. Didn't realize how good the reviews were. $16.83 total shipped to US from Amazon.uk is a decent price too. It's $37.99 at Amazon.com  and $25 average at other places.

Sony is releasing their own US blu-ray on February 12th.

I have the UK blu-ray, which I can't imagine being topped.

I would imagine it will be the same as the releases in Europe from Sony, bare bones.

The UK release is fantastic, region free and packed, for me it's the last word on this title.

I didn't know that the Euereka release was region-free. Damn.

I forget what company it is, but I have a German (I think) blu-ray of Fright Night II. It's basically barebones with a trailer and I think some stills, but the picture and sound quality are fantastic. Region free too.

EDIT: I think this is it. It was significantly cheaper when I picked it up at Monster Mania in Hunt Valley last year than what Amazon is selling it for, but maybe somewhere else has it.

Yes it is, I don't think any of the releases are region coded, if your a fan of commentaries then you need the limited edition twilight time release, these are not on the Eureka release, but for documentaries, Eureka is the way too go.

If the new US release featured the commentaries and documentaries then it would be the ultimate release, but I can't see it, I'm sure it will be bare bones.

Yeah, I was aware of this release. I was just hoping for a domestic Special addition release from somebody.

I honestly thought they’d release this in 4K UHD (the blu-ray comes from a 4K scan anyway) after putting out Christine last year. I guess my Twilight Time disc will have to do, and that massive making-of doc is on Shudder. Definitely a missed opportunity though.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're holding off on a UHD release until September / October to capitalize on Halloween horror rush or a 2020 release to capitalize on the 35th anniversary.

So it’s been detailed and wow I’m impressed:

    Special Features:
    • Audio Commentary with Writer/Director Tom Holland, Actors Chris Sarandon & Jonathan Stark, Moderated by Filmmaker Tim Sullivan
    • Audio Commentary with Writer/Director Tom Holland, Actors William Ragsdale & Stephen Geoffreys, FX Artist Randall Cook, and Moderated by Journalist Jeremy Smith and Filmmaker Tim Sullivan
    • "You're So Cool, Brewster!" Documentary
    • "What Is Fright Night" Featurette
    • "Tom Holland: Writing Horror" Featurette
    • "Rowdy McDowall: From Apes to Bats" Featurette
    • 1st Ever Fright Night Reunion Panel - Fear Fest 2 Shock Till You Drop Presents Choice Cuts with Tom Holland and Ryan Turek
    • Vintage EPK with Behind the Scenes Raw Footage
    • 2 Trailers
    • Optional English SDH subtitles for the main feature
You actually get the best of both worlds. You get the commentaries and special features (minus the isolated score) from the TT disc and the doc from the Eureka.

Damn now I REALLY hope they put this out in UHD.

I hear they are porting all of the extras. Including Twilight Times audio commentary. So it's the best of both blu's. Far as the PQ, have no idea.

Yes it's great for fans, and nice to see Sony finally invest in this, hopefully this will open the gates for other horror titles they may have been sitting on.

With regards to the UHD, based on the Christie releases from Sony, the Fright Night UHD should follow in 6 to 8 months.
