Agreed. The first time I came across an ecocase in the Wal Mart bins I had originally thought of returning it before opening, as it appeared the case was somehow flattened with a truck. I always have to switch them into a new case now.. sigh.

I hate how all new dvd cases have that air conditoner where the insert should goes. whats up with that. i like the old vd cases that had the 2 things you push together to put the disc in and out.. can't leave well enough alone.

People have been finding this in the $7.99 bin at Best Buy. I didn't personally check the bin when I was in earlier, though. YMMV. I'd imagine this is as low as it'll get, so get it now before regretting it later if it goes oop.

I think I found this Night of the Creeps custom cover here before I was a member. Does anyone have the full version?

My local BB had about 5 of them in the dump bin last weekend. If anyone needs a hand getting this, holla. I'll only charge a buck over my total costs (buying the disc and postage). I used to think the dump bin meant the contents were going OOP, now I don't know. They keep getting more and more Navy Seals, Clerks, Wild Things, Scary Movie, etc. in there month after month, year after year for some. I still wouldn't risk it if you haven't got this yet. The cult following is huge and no matter how many copies exist, it won't be enough for everyone who waited if it does go OOP. Maybe you try and wait for $5, but $8 is a steal as is. If it does go OOP, it will probably be $80 instantly and start climbing. Think Dead Alive, but with more fans.:)

    • Limited Edition O-Card slipcase [First Print Run Only]
    • High-definition remaster of the director’s cut
    • Original stereo soundtrack and 5.1 surround audio options, presented in PCM and DTS-HD MA respectively on the Blu-ray
    • Audio commentary by writer / director Fred Dekker
    • Audio commentary by actors Jason Lively, Tom Atkins, Steve Marshall and Jill Whitlow
    • Thrill Me: Making Night of the Creeps - an hour-long series of video pieces on the making of the film featuring new interviews with cast and crew
    • Tom Atkins: Man of Action featurette
    • Video Interview with Fred Dekker
    • Deleted Scenes
    • Original theatrical ending
    • Trivia track subtitles
    • Theatrical trailer
    • PLUS: A limited-edition booklet featuring a new essay by critic Craig Ian Mann [First Print Run Only]

It sounds like the disc content will be pretty much the same as the older releases, but it'll have a booklet and a pretty nice looking Slipcover. I've always really hated the US Blu-ray's artwork. o_O

I agree about the US sleeve, but with no additional content, same print, it's gonna be a hard sell, the US release was region free, so allowed everyone access.

Nice it's finally getting a UK release though.

Plus the UK appears to also be getting the Fred Dekker interview from the Australian release.

So it's basically a UK equivalent of the Australian release.

EDIT: Looks like I neglected the fact the UK release contains the original Stereo mix. So I guess you can say this is the superior version. ;)

Very cool cover art....... the covers for both the US dvd and blu ray are fucking clown shoes.

Isn't the US release missing the original stereo soundtrack?

Edit: I think the Australian and German releases may be missing it, too. The Spain release probably is, too, as it comes from a known bootleg label.

That edition looks awesome. Last I watched this (which was recently) I found it didn't hold up for me at all though. It was a lot more childish than I remembered and I found myself annoyed with most of the characters.

Someone made a good custom sleeve but I was never able to get a copy at a usable resolution. I remember posting the image here on the old format forum. I'll search to see if I can find it.

I remember on the back of the custom cover, the artist used the pretty blonde girl that was in Killer Clowns and Weird Science. I thought that was cool even though she just had a cameo appearance in Night of the Creeps.
