A teenage girl and her little brother must survive a wild 24 hours during which a mass hysteria of unknown origins causes parents to turn violently on their own kids.

Stars Selma Blair and Nicholas Cage.

I agree. Not a huge Nic Cage fan but he is a perfect choice for this film. He is awesome in this and the movie itself is remarkable. Funnily, he was in attendance and let out a weird laugh at one of his own scenes.

Could be fun. At first I thought the pairing of Cage and Selma Blair was creepy with such a huge age difference but I just looked them up and they're only 8 years apart in age. For some reason I thought Blair was still in her 30s but she's 45. Time fucking flies!

I'm intrigued by this dispite the lackluster reviews its been receiving. It kind of looks like the inverse of the film "Cooties" which I loved, so count me in.

Blu ray / DVD comes out 2-20. I was hoping for a theater release.

Just watched it, it's not too bad, it's fast and breezy and as I suspected Nic is perfect in the role, he does unhinged so well. Selma was ok, she couldn't quite match Nic, but did a commendable job. The best bits are when Lance Henriksen shows up, now that was fun, all in all it was enjoyable, nothing is explained, so bear that in mind and it ended quite abruptly, but if you want some brainless fun for 80 mins, you could do much worse.

I'm thinking about watching this later, for anyone that already saw it, is this thing actually fun? Hots4 seemed to think so, anyone else? Also the IMDb says it's over 2 hours, that's not right, is it?

I'm curious because the reviews sound similar to the ones for The Belko Experiment and Better Watch Out, which were both movies that were frequently called "hilarious" in reviews but that were actually not funny at all. I thought those were both terrible, honestly. They both had potential to be fun and darkly comedic but the tone got fucked up and they ended being kind of a bummer to sit through. I have a dark sense of humor, so I like a lot of black comedies, those two forgot the comedy.

So is this actually fun/funny or is it a total bummer? I watched too many mislabeled movies last year, I want to know what I'm getting into.
