There are two region 1 Leprechaun 4 DVDs available. Which has a better quality transfer: the Canadian Lion's Gate "special edition", or the US Trimark version? Or are both transfers equal?

I recently purchased the Leprechaun Pot Of Gore Collection. The Leprechaun owns.

How is the transfer of Leprechaun 4 in the Pot of Gore collection?

My Canadian Lion's Gate Leprechaun 4 has a sad transfer, and I am hoping for a better one with the US version.

Is the Lion's Gate "Special Edition" as feature-filled as the Lion's Gate Hellraiser III "Special Edition"? (That is to say full-frame and zero features...)

I honestly can't tell you. I don't have a fancy TV and I'm not sure if it's good or bad. To me the picture looks great, but what do I know. I love the Leprechaun movies, so I think it was quite a bargain for $35 shipped.

Yep, the Lion's Gate Leprechaun 4 is as sorry as their Hellraiser III disc -- no extras whatsoever, and a pan-and-scan transfer.

Pan-and-scan? You do realize that Leprechaun 4 was a direct-to-video production and that 1.37:1 is its OAR, right?

I just won the Trimark Leprechaun 4 on ebay for $9.99, so am going to do a comparison of the two versions. I betcha it's a much better transfer.

You know, I just never would have imagined that Leperchan in Space had enough of a following to keep this thread going.

Then why reply at all? It's "Leprechaun", by the way.

I absolutely love Leprechaun IV -- it's a hysterically over-the-top, infectiously fun campfest.

I wonder how embarrased jennifer aniston, in that her first lead/top billed film role was the first LEPRECHAUN!

Probably the same way Renée Zellweger feels about being in Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation

What exactly is the connection between George Lucas and the Leprechaun movies? Is it only because he is a friend of Warwick's ?
