Looks like 88 Films will be releasing Devil Hunter in April. Not the best Franco, iirc, but I kind of would like to check this one out in HD!

Already got the Severin Blu-ray, so I likely won't be double dipping unless the transfer is somehow far superior.

heh, forgot all about that one and don't even remember if I bought it. They did mention that they would be doing a lot of color correction for this one though so maybe it will turn out better.

Only issue I can recall on the Severin disc was that it looked a bit dark, but that could be the original photography. Almost looked like a lot of the film was shot day-for-night. Cannibal Terror on the same disc looked great.

The Austrian XT Blu Ray is the longest version available. Its about half a minute longer than the severin disc.

Looks like there is a whole series of French blu-rays for Franco from Artus Films. Not sure how many titles but here are a couple.

Dorado's Jess Franco Collection Vol.2 FINALLY has a release date: May 30th, 2019.

    From Dorado Film's Facebook page:
"Hello to all, here is the promised update that as most of you have ascertained is long overdue. The release of the EuroWestern 7 From Texas Bluray, along with a 100,000 dollars for Lassiter DVD, Two Booklets, 2 mini posters and your free selection offered and recorded so very long ago will be shipping out May 7th 2019. Jess Francos Vol. 2 will be shipping out May 30th, 2019 wit the double feature of Camino Solitario and Dirty Games in Casablanca. The release will also include booklets, an extra feature by Antonio Mayans, mini posters and another add on for the very long, long wait.
We have not had the opportunity to read all these posts, but enough to understand the general disappointment of our inability to make our promises happen, all we can say is we are sorry. Getting these last two out will be a great relief to us, we will not be doing business like this ever again. Presales are fine for the small labels if they have the product actually in their possession or at least know for 100% surety that they will have the product in time for shipping promises. If Dorado does go forward with additional releases, it would only be if we have the physiical product in our hands to give out when we make the sale.
Again, we are embarrassed by our performance on these two releases, and thank all who have even during the lows of the project shown such long patience with us and have continued to encourage us to just get it done.
For some of the other news, we did manage to gain access to the labs in Madrid for some of the more desired titles from the original negatives, such as Bahai Blanca, Blues de la Pop and others... we are waiting to see though at this point if Dorado can ever recover from this 2 year blight that we have brought upon ourselves.

At this point in time, answering every post is probably mute and counter productive so if we have not answered yours at this time we will try to just as soon as we have the opportunity.

Our offer to simply refund you your investment of these releases is still on the table should you just decide that you want it back rather than the release, just write to us at store@doradofilms.com and put in attention accounting.

Otherwise, you can have the releases you have been waiting for on the release dates mentioned above.

All our best to all of you,

    Dorado Films"

I'll wait and see. :D A lot of positive feedback on Facebook which is nice. Shit happens. And illness was involved. Even at work someone can be out of commission for five or six months because of health problems. Be in again for a few months sporadically. Then be out again for months on end.

Crowd funding for a small company can help expand. But when your product relies on working with foreign entities to be your boots on the ground that can really slow you down. Scorpion's recent Opera release is a good case and point. Elements were obviously in hand because they put out a physical release already. They got pocket change from that and still it took a year to finish the deluxe package (and still end up with some problems).

And it looks like Dorado's problems continue because reportedly Bahai Blanca is with Severin Films. So some more headaches for them.

Pre-ordered this in June of 2017 so 23 months in the making. At least it's actually finally going to get released.
