another review here http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Night-of-the-Scarecrow-Blu-ray/66810/#Review
Is this region A locked? I know you cant always go by what DVDBeaver say and some Olive releases have been region free.
My Night Of The Scarecrow blu-ray (which was shipped on April 30th) is still sitting in Compton, CA.
C'mon, little guy! Move! You can do it!
Mine is sitting in Compton too. :nervous:
My other Deep Discount shipment arrived in less than a week, so hopefully this'll get here shortly...
Sweet! Received mine today, even though the tracking still shows it as sitting in Compton, CA.
Mine arrived earlier today also, but the tracking shows as "Delivered"
I've now confirmed the disc as "A" locked with AnyDVD HD. The Beaver is correct here.
got my shipping notice from DDD with the burning, hoped since they were released so far apart they would ship seperatly , but no. So I'll get raped in customs for these two. Let's hope they're worth it
Mine just says "backordered" - WTF!
It's weird too, when I look at my DDD order status Town that Dreaded Sundown and The Burning aren't even listed among the other Blu's I bought, but the full sale price is reflected. I double checked my email and they both are there, so I think their system is f'd up again.

2 Stars? :eek2:
Just watched this yesterday. I enjoyed the movie quite a bit but thought, for a horror movie, it was a little overlit and too bright in spots. Jeff Burr comments negatively about the special effects and laments the use of early CGI. No one is more against CGI than I am but I saw nothing cringe-worthy or cheap about the EFX and thought they looked very good. Overall, a very nice release from Olive.
A belated review from Mondo Digital:
Reading that MD review it's possible I've mixed this up with Scarecrows. But OTOH, it's possible I've seen both on TV or video and the only memorable one remains DNOTS.
Still, it's a bugger being A locked.
I'm imagining all are better than Scarecrow Slayer, however!! (Which started out with massive promise I was almost looking forward to it. Until it turned into a massive pile of dog shit, that is.)
Finally got around to watching this. Very nice blu ray package. Nice looking transfer and a very solid audio commentary by Burr. The movie is very watchable and fits right in with the other mid 90s dtv titles like night of the demons 2 and rotld 3.
This appears to have gone the way of Ticks and is now OOP.
It was really annoying, I used to buy 1 import blu a month. My next purchase was ticks or scarecrow, I chose scarecrow as it was cheaper but when I went to purchase ticks the next month it had gone OOP and was fetching a tidy amount!
I didn't like scarecrow but decided to keep hold of it hoping it would also go OOP and fetch the same kind of price. It seems now is the time to find out!
So you, like, only buy Blu-rays in the hopes that they go OOP so you can sell them for big markups? Not because you actually like the movies? Got it.
That's certainly not what I was saying, I buy and collect films, I try and buy at least one import a month, titles I'm after or ones I've not seen before. I'd not seen ticks or Scarecrow at that time, I've since seen Ticks and I enjoyed it a lot, I wish I'd have purchased Ticks instead of scarecrow as I'd have kept Ticks.
Scarecrow is pretty rubbish in my mind, but decided to hold of selling it until it had reached OOP status.
If I enjoyed Scarecrow then there is NO way I would be selling it, no matter how much it was going for.
