With most of us having way different or should I say "better" :) tastes in film then most people we associate with. I have always wonders why members who live near each other don't organize a movie marathon get together. Find the member with the largest TV that lives near you, grab some beers your favorite snacks and presto magic. The first annual horordvd's "insert city name here" Horror film festival extravaganza!!

    I'll bring the Dip!

This would be a great idea, though I don't think any members live remotely near me.

I think i'm going blind. Actually Drip sounds pretty ominous. :)

There are tons of members living in the Toronto area. I'm sure we could have a first annual super extravaganza Toronto drunken slumber party pretty easily .

In all seriousness, I'm VERY selective about who I let in my home and around my family. Having said that, with October and all the fun stuff coming up at the New Beverly, Egyptian and Aero in terms of revival screenings, I'd meet a few LA-ers out for a screening of something.

None of you would want to watch a movie with me. I'm all hands.

I'd be game but I'm positive no one lives near me. The closest sign of civilization would be Halifax and that is still like a 4, 5 hour drive.

Does anyone here actually want to watch horror movies with other people?

I'm on another forum and we were talking... None of us seem to like watching movies with other people. And I'm psychotically vocal when I do (my best friend in the world walked out during Road Trip because of me, and not quietly). If it sucks, you'll never hear the end of it. Fuck, I sometimes have to pause it just to rant.

Nobody trusts each other either. With so many movies about torture and perversion in the genre the last 7 years, we've been some of the biggest nimwits-dumskulls out there buying into the Culture of Fear that, for example, the Bush Administration were selling us. Otherwise, there's no excuse for over 80% of the genre output since the Iraq war began. We kept the light burning for the Saws and Cloverfields and Carriers'. We all seem to believe the "hell is other people" mantra of survival-horror / apocalypse films way too much.

If you ever plan to attend a screening of something fun in/near the city, hit me up.
