InetVideo is having a huge HD-DVD sale. 177 HD-DVD titles priced at $5.99 each. US Shipping is $4.95 for the first disc and $2.00 for each additional disc. I picked up 12 HD-DVDs for $98.83 shipped ($8.24 each).

Lots of good Horror/Sci-Fi titles like:

    American Werewolf In London
    Land Of The Dead
    Dawn Of The Dead
    Army Of Darkness
    Battlestar Galactica: Season One ($39.99)
    Cat People
    Children Of Men
    Dead Silence
    Doom
    Heroes: Season One ($29.99)
    King Kong
    Serenity
    Chronicle Of Riddick
    Mummy
    Mummy Return
    Skeleton Key
    Time Cop
    Tremors
    Van Helsing
    Waterworld

Personally, I think any film is better in HD. Dead Silence looked really good. So did Dawn Of The Dead. The newer movies seem to get better reviews than the older catalog titles. Land Of The Dead, Skeleton Key, Van Helsing and Doom all got high marks for video quality. American Werewolf, Army Of Darkness, Tremors and Cat People all got mid-level reviews.

InetVideo has dropped the price on some titles to $3.99. And there's 20% Off on shipping to Canada & USA.

A few $3.99 horror titles like Pulse, Wolf Creek, The Hitcher, Seed Of Chucky. Plus there's still many horror titles at $5.99 like Dead Silence, Bone Collector, Cat People, Skeleton Key, End Of Days, Land Of The Dead, Tremors, The Watcher, Doom and more.

This is a Canadian retailer, so many of the HD-DVDs come with bi-lingual packaging. Personally, I don't care, but it might matter to some people.

Too bad the US sites aren't liquidating titles like this.

Man, such good deals. I just got my first order in. It was just a bit over $50.00 delivered for the following HD-DVDs:

    Lost in Translation
    Pan's Labyrinth
    Bourne Ultimatum
    Timecop
    Dawn of the Dead (Unrated)
    Dead Silence (Unrated)
    End of Days

At a price averaging ~$8.00, I was pumped to add some titles to my collection. Dawn is my first double dip in a long time (have the Japanese import - DTS track and contains the nudity), but for $4.99, it was a no-brainer. I love that flick.

I wanted to get AWIL but I've read reviews and besides the increased resolution, it's the same transfer as the DVD, which has issues.

Now lets just hope my damn DDD shows up at some point. I know media mail sucks but geez, they are in IL and it shipped on 6/5/2008. I guess that is what I get for free shipping. Their timeline says it's up until the 19th, so I'll give it a few more days before calling them.
