Halloween Complete Collection coming to blu!

Hey how's the set? Did not get mine today, which really frigging sucks. Can u see how jarring the Halloween TV scenes are in the TV version? Is it a noticeable jump in quality?

Which films aspect ratios were you wondering about specifically? I haven't had a chance to go through it yet. Was planning on digging in this weekend.

 

Couldn't help but notice that the back cover of H3 has no mention of the Atkins commentary that was on the previous SF release....

Yeah, it's possible the covers were made before there was an update on the extras.

 

Thank you anyway but it seems someone confirmed all titles are original aspect ration. On the earlier releases H20 was open-matted from it's OAR of 2.35:1 (wide screen) to 1.78:1 (full screen) and Resurrection is open matte from 2.35:1 (widescreen, OAR) to 1.78:1 (full screen)

 

somebody put the Aussie version of 2007 in the mock-up...

 

If you look closely at the boxset the Halloween 8 bluray cover looks like it was cut wrong.

I'm not impressed that they didn't update the covers with new/corrected info. I'm also not a fan of how text heavy the back covers are. Not a big deal but I still think it makes them look ugly and boring.

 

I seem to remember word of the TV cut for the first Halloween accidentally leaving out a title card when first released on DVD. I hope this has been fixed for this release.

 

It looks to me like the bottom of the cover is just stuck down a little further at the bottom of the case than the others.

Just checked it and yes, the Tom Atkins commentary is on the disc. Looks like they forgot to list it on the back, but it is there.

-How are the transfers for Halloween 6-8?

-Anything else included that was not in any announcements?

still really bugs me that Zombie H1/H2 theatrical cuts aren't present. what was the real reason for that again?

 

That is a bunch of crap! This is supposed to be the COMPLETE COLLECTION!! They always have to omit something! I would have liked all cuts of every film. That is what it is supposed to be!

 

They said they could only get the rights to the extended cuts. I am bugged by it too, since I find the theatrical cuts better.
