Grindhouse Releasing to release Cannibal Ferox on Blu-Ray

Yeah, I will keep this one forever.
I used to have more Italian classics on LD, and now I kinda wish I had kept them as well.

 

In six weeks it will have been three years. The blu-ray was released 2012-05-08. From 2005-11-15 to 2009-09-29 there were 6 DVDs released. So there has been one release in well over 5 years. If it was successful I think they would have released more than one in 5 years. Sure the website says "Coming Soon" but don't hold your breath. Remember, this is Synapse. Soon often means sometime this decade.

 

That's true. I wish they would hurry up. I even own the Trailer Wars Blu-Ray from Alamo Drafthouse Films and Shock Film Festival DVD of trailers. I love watching old Grindhouse trailers from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

great news, unfortunately i saw this stated in the review :

Note that this disc is coded for Region A due to licensing restrictions, while the second disc is region free.

this plain fucking sucks!

 

it was a beautiful ld, and def came with a barf bag, I can't remember if it was in the shrink though, as I'm pretty sure Shawn from Blackest Heart gave me several.

 

Well done, Grindhouse!!!!!! I hate it so much when things like deleted scenes and alternate takes are included on a disc but only as some worthless, standalone extra and it is nice to see this done right for a change!

I was hoping that this was what the shipment notification that I got from Diabolik the other day was for, and it was. Can't wait to watch this! As much as I love this movie, I hope I never feel the need to buy it again... lol

I just finished watching the movie and it looks awesome, kind of exceeded expectations even though I figured I would be happy with it. Didn't really notice one of the extended scenes but the other one was noticeable and made me wonder a bit about the scene it was in since what it added seemed a bit odd. Grindhouse have definitely redeemed themselves for that poor quality DVD they put out ages ago!

Ha ha it's been auto removed by amazon's fantastic systems! Cough cough.

This happened to a listing (DVD) I had on amazon, it was on there for a couple of years then out of the blue. Boom!

At the time I did a search and low and behold there were about 4 or 5 of the same item still available to purchase, crazy!

 

What a bunch of assholes...

 

Goddamn stupidity... and our state already has had to pay Amazon sales tax since early February. Amazon doesn't even have any stores or distribution centers in this state, so aren't even required by law. Yeah... the timing of that happening too. It's no wonder I'm ordering less and less from them now, hah!

 

I scaled way back on my Amazon purchases starting last year also because of the tax and for the fact they ship things in flimsy bubble mailers instead of boxes I purchased 4 movies last week and they came in some bubble mailer all shaking around, luckily none were damaged. Yet when I order from Amazon.UK they come in a nice cardboard box

Yeah, they did that to me a few weeks ago with 3 new releases totaling about $80. One case arrived cracked and broken, so they refunded $20. All good, but still annoying that they even did that.

 

"Before Trump bans it entirely." Now, I don't disagree that Trump's presidency is a fiasco, but what does he have to do with Amazon no longer carrying Cannibal Ferox?

On a related note, I have always been happy with Amazon's customer service. It's their choice not to carry the title. I don't care for censorship, so it's my choice to take my shopping elsewhere.
