Mine arrived today also. I opened it to make sure the puzzle was included. This is a very nice release. Kudos to Grindhouse Releasing.
Got mine today as well. I popped it in just to spot check and from what I saw it looks great. Can't wait to watch it this weekend.
Received mine yesterday. Had a lot of fun with the 42nd Street documentary. The puzzle even comes back boarded in a resealable mylar sleeve! Nobody will be disappointed by this one. The video/audio, galleries, artwork are all so much better than Grindhouse's previous dvd release. Even the spine looks way nicer on the shelf. Truly the definitive edition!!
Great upgrade, the level of detail on the blu is fantastic, love this film, god I want to bite, I may email arrow first to see if they have any plans of revisiting this for a UK Blu release. As the US release is quite expensive when you add shipping to the UK.
the 42nd street memories is the same as the documentary on the ANthropophagus bluray in the UK right?
They're on eBay but they're selling for $30+ dollars. With 3,000 made, if you wait for the initial fervor to die down I bet you'd be able to snipe one for half that a year from now.
Are the first 3,000 units numbered...like on the spine? In other words, can it be determined if you have the puzzle without opening?
No numbering or indication sticker or anything to determine it includes a puzzle. The weight IS a dead givaway, inside the keepcase you get a thick cardboard puzzle with a 2nd uncut/unprinted puzzle beneath for support. It adds quite a bit to the heft. Though, that's only going to help in-hand.
I'm kind of surprised at how quickly the 3000 limited set sold. I never would have figured the film had that kind of love especially at the $30.00 price range. When mine arrived I couldn't tell if it contained the puzzle so I opened it.
Yeah, got mine earlier today and there was no indication on the package of the puzzle or any limited status. It felt "hefty" though, and sure enough on opening it... the puzzle was inside the main case.
Diabolik is on my last nerve. I pre-ordered and I haven't even gotten a shipping confirmation yet. Knowing so many of you guys already have your discs is like a sharp stick to the eye.
