I watched the film a week or so ago and thought it wasn't too bad a story but it just didn't feel like Goosebumps to me. The show was pretty scary/creepy as a kid and I didn't feel like the film captured that at all. I was also disappointed they didn't use the into music from the show anywhere which was a bummer. I hear the word Goosebumps and that musical tune pops right into my head with it. My other letdown was the creature design and the monsters they chose to give all the screen time too. Pretty much all the monsters looked lame and less impressive than the shows designs. I'm not sure this film will spook kids much. I'm still waiting for a proper Goosebumps movie but at least this was watchable with a group of likeable characters and a twist I didn't see coming.
