Surprised nobody here had mentioned this, loved martyrs and this looks great.
thanx man, martyrs is legendary
Damn. I have to see that. Martyrs blew my mind.
Mods, can we get a correction on the thread title? Ghostland is misspelled in it, so would help with thread search in the future.
Done, my phone has such a delay at times, I should make sure all is correct but I'm impatient!
So I've just finished watching this, and while it's not as messed up and brutal as martyrs, it's not far off.
I enjoyed it a lot, there are some nice jump scenes, some WTF moments, it goes in places you are not expecting, it's wonderfully shot, I don't want to spoil it, so i've been vague, what I will say is those seeing it expecting a haunted house movie, will be a little surprised!
VOD release on June 22nd, followed by DVD only release on July 24th.
That's a shame, hopefully it will get a blu ray release in one of the territories.
Omg she got Rochoned. Hoping for a speedy full recovery with a minimum (or no) scarring. That is awful.
Damn there's a lot of screeeaaammming in this. Should have called it "Carry on Screaming". Disappointing after Martyrs.
Was interesting to see Mylene Farmer in it, I still have a couple of her CD's from the early 90's. Had no idea she'd taken up acting now too.
Movie was great, I don’t really remember tall man but this seems a decent martyrs follow up and the girl that got hurt, I checked out her Instagram and her and her face are gorgeous, she’s doing ok thankfully
Just saw this on vudu.com - holy crap it is intense. Not as much of an intense mind-fuck as Martyrs, but very very good. I foresee a Pascal Laughier double feature next halloween, with this and Martyrs.
Might blind buy the DVD Walmart stores should have it for 12.96 on Tuesday!
I was never a big fan of Martyrs, I thought it was kind of an eye-roller to be honest. On paper, there are a lot of similarities between Incident In A Ghostland and Martyrs. On screen, they're very different. This one isn't as dark and serious. In fact, it's pretty loud, colorful, campy, and enormously entertaining. There is really no downtime whatsoever, it just moves a mile-a-minute from set-piece to set-piece.
With Martyrs, you kind of watch it once, roll your eyes, and move on with your life. With Incident In A Ghostland, it's so outrageous and fun that I could see myself revisiting it down the line. I'd hesitate to call it a great movie, but wow did I have fun watching it and I certainly wasn't bored. Really, that's all I want from a genre film. This is just bonkers fun.
When I get some dough next week I'll get this at Walmart along with blumhouses truth or dare its probably crap but I have every horror blumhouse flick. I completed the Re animator trilogy on blu
Gonna watch this tonight!
Well I enjoyed this more than both martyrs and the tall man very entertaining movie loved the atmosphere.
