How come Full moon publishes so many films from different labels?
-Koch, Home Vision, Echo Bridge, Kangaroo Video
How come many of their bread and butter dvd titles ports of worn out VHS composite video hard-interlaced transfers?
-Subspecies, Trancers, Pupet Master, Shrunken Heads.

It's pretty much a one man operation besides some hired help here and there. Charles is in it to make a buck, not for the love of film or anything like that. He has always done as little as possible to make said buck. I hope the remasters to blu-ray happen but I'm not counting on it.

Kangaroo Video only manufactured the discs for Full Moon, they weren't really a distributor. Full Moon doesn't have a DVD plant, so someone had to press 'em. :D

I'm assuming they changed distributors for the same kinds of reasons many companies switch distributors: Better press agencies, better distribution, less restrictions, more money, less money, etc. Right now with Echo Bridge I suspect they're getting less money but more exposure. For the low money Echo Bridge may also be willing to let Full Moon distribute their own discs as well at http://www.fullmoondirect.com.

As Dave said, Full Moon is pretty much just Charles Band. I don't think he really has much access to the materials. For example Paramount owns the prints to most of the Puppet Masters I believe. But they have remastered Puppet Master in HD, and it looks pretty good. I suspect tom foolery with all that though...

Guess I shouldn't hold my breath on HD Subspecies then.
