Yeah I just searched all over the place too. Why the hell it is so high? The Nightmare on Elm ST set is only $23!

I wish the films would just be made available as single blu rays. To me Friday The 13TH ended after Part 8 the rest don't exist to me. I don't like the retarded tin box nor the cardboard packing. I would welcome just standard blu ray cases versus a goofy gimmick.

Since they packaged it in a tin I am guessing they are aiming for premium pricing for this and don't seem to be straying unlike the ANOES set. The other reason being that Warner put this out and shortly after the rights to the first 8 films reverted back to Paramount, so I'd imagine Warner is just trying to get all they can out of this set. It's a shame. I can't justify full price when the fab 4 are already on Blu-ray from Paramount, there's no new extras unlike the Shout set for HALLOWEEN (hell, and even the FREDDY'S NIGHTMARES episodes on the ANOES set) and JGTH is cut.

As rhett noted a while back Friday The 13TH Part 4 is available in Canada as single blu ray. The only thing is it includes Part 3, it's waaaaaaaay overpriced and ugly as hell.

Why can't they just release each movie individually with the original theatrical artwork for each boxart? The original F13th DVD releases were going that route with the VHS art then after part 4 they changed them to really bad new cover art. If the Halloween films can stick with original artwork (besides the SF art for 2 and 3), why can't F13th as well?

Next Friday is Friday The 13th, so I'm still hoping that we'll see a sale on that box set.

If not, I'll be breaking out the deluxe edition DVD's (with the purdy lenDICKular slipcovers) for the marathon.

Still not giving in. $50 or no sale.

It went down to $60 at one point. I think it was around Christmas of the year it got released. I think there's still hope it'll drop again. I would have thought it would have happened by now though.

It I saw it at $60 again I'd probably break down and get it.

    No higher though.

Same here. I didn't buy it at the time because I was hoping/expecting it to go lower at some point which never happened :(

That's Warner for you. I'm still waiting for several single Blu-ray releases to ever go down in price, and many were released quite a while ago.

I paid $85 to get the set on the release date, and don't regret it. At least I'm not still waiting around a year and a half later to get it.

The first eight are on Netflix too, so that's even less incentive for horror fans, outside of the most dedicated Friday the 13th fans, to spill $90 on this set.

Yep. watching through them yet again, just finished 4 the other night. Truth be told, I'm not a "Jason Goes to Hell" or "Jason X" fan anyway, the first 8 are all very watchable.

For some reason I like 3 the least.

This is a really nice set and I'm glad to have it. (Paid around $75 ~ $80 shortly after it came out.) The one big disappointment for me is the R-Rated JGTH, but at least the digital copy is unrated.

So if one were to get this, is there anywhere you can take these things to get made up? I don't have a blu burner, disc printer or a great printer for covers either. Curious to know.
