I was sorting out my messy and growing DVD collection last night, and came across a couple of titles i totally forgot i owned.

Best was a real cult item: A Boy and his Dog. great 70's post apocalyptic flick, directed by Western Character actor L.Q. Jones and produced by Alvy Moore from Green Acres!!! who apparantly was the lover and partner of Jones!

Very young Don Johnson and Jason Robards. Anyone who has not seen this - grab a copy!

My collection is usually well maintained but when I sold cluttering DVDs from my collection last February I noticed I still owned two copies of Devil Dog: Hound from Hell.
A few years ago my first copy of Devil Dog mysteriously disappeared so I bought another copy. Some time later the first copy surfaced again and I had always meant to sell the second copy, but forgot all about it until February of this year.

The Hills Have Eyes 2. My ex bought it for me because she knows I love the first, but she didn't know that the movie was shit. It sat in my glove compartment of my car for months.

    Hatchet for the Honeymoon...

I own it on two different VHS tapes (MEDIA and CHARTER) but since I'm looking to upgrade it to DVD, I forget that I already own it. Haha

Other than that, I usually keep track of things.

I had the opposite problem recently. I couldn't find my DVD of The Fog which I was convinced I owned because I had bought it along with a bunch of other titles that came out on the same day back in 2002 (I know Return of the Living Dead and Deranged/Motel Hell were part of that order). So I'm all pissed off thinking someone borrowed it and didn't return it. Finally I checked my old credit card statement only to find that The Fog wasn't part of that order and I never owned it at all. Duh.

Hey, I've got two copies of Devil Dog also! Even worse, I haven't even watched the movie since I've owned the DVDs.

Found a copy of Bare Wench Project 2: Book of Babes in my "other" box. The cover says it's both movies, even the disc artwork does, but it's only the second. Consider it up for trade if anyone is interested, I'll make ya a better deal than amazon or ebay. It's in the old oversize jewel cases that early Platinum discs came in.

I was in the mood for Castle Freak last night, but I had forgotten that I no longer own that movie. Bummer.

I bought the G.I.Joe movie because it was released just after I got my Blu-Ray player and I was all "Well, I bet that will look sweet." I'm still trying to forget that I did that.

You would probably find me dead under a pile of dvds if I even attempted to do a search. I have way more dvds, horror and non-horror, than any human should be allowed to own. I've now resorted to making lists when I shop to remember what I want to buy. I may need to take along a booklet of what I own. My memory is for shit!!

Someone gave me that as a birthday present a few years ago and I still haven't forgiven them.
