Halloween Iii Season Of The Witch
HALLOWEEN III SEASON OF THE WITCH and then The Fog.
I had to go with Escape From New York. The score influences the mood perfectly.
I listen to Season of the Witch the most. The main title is pretty damn cool. You can't go wrong with a Carpenter/Howarth score. Even the crappy movies have a decent one.
The Fog, definitely. Although it may be VERY similar to Halloween, I personally think it's a bit more effective. (But fuck, Carpenter REALLY knew how to score his films.)
my vote goes to The Fog, i love that score. I always have!! i love it so much, i bought the album they have on iTunes
I like all of his scores but I think THE FOG is one of his most layered, well thought out works.HALLOWEEN 3 is woefully underrated as well.
I kind of miss the electronic scores that dominated so many of the best 80's horror films. Now I'm a big orchestral fan but I find myself nostalgic for a good synth score from time to time. With the right film an electronic score really works.
Halloween II - all the awesome-ness of the first one with that synth really making it feel like doom is coming down on you. I own it, I love it.
Halloween III of course and the Fog is superb too. the rest are great anyway.
EFNY, wonderful music.
Halloween III: Season of the Witch is my favorite. So glad to have bought the cd this past year. Great listening to with or without the movie. My other favorites would be Escape from New York, The Fog, and of course the original Halloween.
This poll was tough! I was inclined to choose Halloween, but in the end, I choose Prince of Darkness. I have it on disc. I was lucky to find it at HMV in Toronto several years back, along with the original pressing of The Fog.
The Fog, although ask me on another day and you're likely to get a different answer.
Even though he didn't do ALL the music himself, I'm quite partial to The Thing.
I feel the same way, although I went with Escape from New York.
Halloween but I love them all
Halloween, no doubt, but I love most of Carpenter work.
