The first film in THE EXORCIST pantheon basically goes untouched by filmgoers, but the remainder of the films are a real mixed bag. Which one is your favorite? Flying locusts, psychotic nurses, Renny Harlin or Paul Schrader, you decide!
I think all the sequels have big flaws, but Exorcist III has some great moments. I actually didn't like it nearly as much the 2nd time around, but my first impression of it was pretty good. Now I just wish Blatty hadn't been forced to include that awkward excorcist scene at the end ...
None of them are perfect, but The Exorcist III is pretty damn good. It has at least one classically scary moment, a story that makes some sense, and good actors - one of which is George C. "Patton" Scott. It wins.
Legion is the winner. I really like that film. I actually have a soft spot for the whole series. Even Harlin's because of Storaro's amazing cinematograpy.
My Dad loved Exorcist 3. I like Dominion, if they had used the moolah from the Beginning on the FX in Dominion it would have been much better.
The 1st movie was a damn near perfect horror film, everything after that will never come close. I found all the follow ups to be piss poor, part 3 being very boring the 2nd time around, but it wins by default since the rest are even worst.
Me too. It's just more entertaining than the other films. The third one has some good moments, but really craps out at the end. It's never had much rewatchability for me either.
Exorcist lll is one of the most underrated horror films of our time. William Peter Blatty must make more films!
The Exorcist III. I also prefer it to the original (not saying anything bad about the original, though)
I really liked The Beginning. Most people don't seem to care for it, but it really pushed all the right buttons for me.
