Freaking Awsome I didnt know they made a sequel. This I gotta see. I checked around and it looks outta stock at alot of places, but there pratically giving copies away on e-bay.
If you love the killer babies, it's a pretty hilarious movie, full of only the finest of cheese. In fact, here's a short review from our very own Hellbilly.
Though Gemlins is the better series as far as quality is concerned I enjoyed the entire Critters series way too much as a kid and watched all entires mutliple times, so that gets my vote as I wear my rose colored glasses
The Gate is very imaginative, with some great stop-motion creature effects and a cool play-records-backwards-and-you'll-unleash-the-devil plot. Stephen Dorff is a pussy in it, and a young Kelly Rowan makes it fun to see for the actors too. Good, classic Canadian tax shelter stuff. The Gate II is more gross then imaginative (a briefcase of money turns into a briefcase of shit), but there are still some cool effects to be had, although not nearly as imaginative as the first. Still, one could do a lot worse - like not watch the greatest college film of all-time, Ghoulies 3.
I gotta go with Ghoulies. Without a doubt, one of my favorite horror series. Although I am completely opposite of most, I think the first is better than the second. In fact, I like the series so much I included him in a series of comics WesReviews, myself and others did starring the star of the Rocky films, PAULIE! This elite circle of Ghoulies fans consider this particular Ghoulie to be a fish (considering he comes up through the toilets, he must be able to swim, not to mention the other Ghoulies look like an animal). But, that's neither here nor there. I remember back in the day spending $15 for Ghoulies III on Ebay, only to find it 6 months later for $2. Dammit. But, it is a good movie, so it's all good.
Almost forgot about my GHOULIES II INFLATABLE TOILET! Got it on Ebay for like $15 back in the day and it was new. Wonder where the guy got it from, it was obviously only given out to video stores back in the day. One of the neatest Ebay finds I've ever seen.
