I did a search here & didn't see anything mentioned about this. I found out about it on another board. It's limited to 1000 copies. Pretty cool cover. Came out to $13 including shipping in the U.S.

I saw this advertised in the latest Fangoria issue but don't know if I want to buy it. Is it new material or rehashed articles from the magazine?

I ordered one a few days ago, and from what I'm reading I expect another struggle. Last year I ordered The Best of Gorezone from the Fango site, and had to go through PayPal to get my money back because they never sent it to me.

Not a surprise. When the new CEO of Fangoria came on here and offered a free issue to show how the magazine had changed for the better, I never received it. For those interested in this, just buy "The Zombies That Ate Pittsburgh."

With only 1000 made I'm taking a chance. One thing I would hope though is that when it ships that it will be protected in some way and also not have an address sticker put directly on the magazine. That would piss me off.

with magazine circulation these days I wouldn't be surprised if a regular edition of Fangoria has a print run much more than 1,000.

Will this be sold at newstands as well? I'd rather just pick one up during my travels.

My copy arrived in the UK today. Slight crease in the middle but survived the postal system despite the lack of a decent envelope.

The new editor is a piece of s--t. He basically turned the mag into a blog for his number one fan: Himself.

Their regular magazine ships in a plastic bag. No address sticker on the magazine itself.

Hopefully this is how you will receive this particular magazine.

I remember that. But I believe a lot of people did get it. He emailed you confirming he was sending you a free issue? Or did you not just get a response to an email?

I received my free issue within five days of e-mailing and I'm in Canada. Is Chris Alexander still there? If so e-mail him directly, he's very down to earth and fan friendly.
Will check my magazine store for this, hope they do a John Carpenter issue.

He never even responded to me. My email to him was as articulate and pleasant as you could imagine. That's why I come to this site for my horror news.

Getting back to "The Zombies That Ate Pittsburgh", it's getting pricey for those that are interested. It is written by a fanatic that pestered Romero throughout the filming of Day of the Dead for information regarding the successes and failures of the prior films. I recommend it to all of you who are as nutty about the holy zombie trilogy as I am.

It's possible. With the internet, I have a hard time justifying the cost of magazines and newspapers anymore. How is this magazine for those who received it? Are the articles interesting? Does he shed any new information, and more importantly, does he say anything about his future projects (if any)?
