I'm not sure I'll be interested unless both cuts are included. I'll have to see if I can find the extended cut online to watch as I'm not too sure what the changes are and if I'll like it better than the theatrical.

Trust me, it improves on the movie :)
It's all good stuff, and I just don't know why they cut them out.
The "We're gonna get you" line is back, and also the chainsaw dismemberment scene in the shed, etc.
It's stuff that makes the film feel even more like a proper Evil Dead film :)

Well that definitely sounds good as I loved the "We're gonna get you" line from the trailer and was a little disappointed it was missing in the theatrical version.

I am still hopeful that USA gets a new blue with unrated cut on there

Yes, it contains both cuts (one on each disc). I will definitely post my thoughts when it arrives. I would assume the theatrical version is the one featured on Netflix.

The movie has now been announced in Germany too. It will be released by Nameless, the same company that released Waxwork. There will also be a limited version with the plastic figurine like in Japan. There is no release date yet.

I already have the German Mediabook that Sony released, so I would assume the disc content will be the same:

Nice to see Sony releasing more catalogue horror content within the US, I've got the Sweden uncut and UK theatrical blu's, some I'm good. But it's nice to see so many physical choices now, when it originally looked like this would be a download only purchase.

Is this Unrated release still in print? I was going to pick it up but I can't find it without a large price tag attached to it :(

I think it may just be in-between pressings, just as Night of the Living Dead 1990 was about a month ago.

Sony's approach on this, Night of the Living Dead 1990 and some of their other back catalog releases has been similar to how Warner handles their Warner Archive Blu-Rays, meaning small batch pressings that get repressed as needed and the print quality on the artwork might looks a little inferior to that of a more widespread Blu-Ray release.

Yes, these Sony MOD titles are always out of stock everywhere for the first few weeks. Then they go back to normal.

$20+ for these titles is a bit too rich for me though. The only one I've bought so far is The Rider. Most of these should be $7.88 from Mill Creek.
