    Preorders are up at D&T Mailorder. It looks like this will be a region-free release with both 89 and 92 minute versions, German and English audio and subtitles.

    Extras:

    * 16-page booklet with text by Lars Dreyer-Winkelmann
    * Audio commentary by Marco Erdmann from Wicked Vision Magazine
    * Original trailer
    * DVD version

    Will all the covers be available on Amazon? I can only find cover A.

    Would prefer C (the VHS artwork) or F (the theatrcial poster).

    Has this movie been released on Blu-ray anywhere under a different title? I don't want to double dip on it unnecessarily if I already own it. Savage Weekend perhaps?

    No, this is the first Blu-ray release for Death Weekend (1976) (aka The House by the Lake). Only other disc release of the film I know of was a Swedish DVD from 2017, otherwise this one hasn't been available in most of the world since the VHS days. Savage Weekend (1979) is a completely different film.

    Any news on this?

    I no longer see it on Amazon.de, nor is it listed on Diabolik or any sites that carry imports.

    The release date was next week.

    No clue. I had it in my shopping cart on Amazon.de and it literally just disappeared weeks back. Not "unavailable" or anything, it simply disappeared.

    D&T still list it though: https://shop.dtm.at/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=death+weekend&x=0&y=0

    Amazon cancelled my order weeks ago. I assume the release was cancelled.

    Diabolik currently has a few of the different covers in stock for $39.99 a pop.

    I think they typically do more affordable standard editions down the line. At least I'm hoping that's the case here.

    Death Weekend is back up for sale on Diabolik but only a couple different covers this time around in case anyone missed it. I went with cover F ;)

    Apparently a standard edition in a regular blu-ray case was released today, but I can't find it on Amazon.de yet.

    Is this movie worth buying at $40+?

    Depends on if you've seen it before...

    I don't regret spending the $40 at Diabolik for the Mediabook (Cover C), but I had seen the film before.

    Since it's owned/licnesed out by Lionsgate, the chances of it getting a US release anytime soon are probably slim to none. Lionsgate do license stuff out to European studios like this, but never to other studios (such as Shout Factory) in the US. Basically if Lionsgate don't release it by themselves in the US, it isn't coming... unless of course they change their domestic licensing policy.

    ...and since the existing film elements are a little damaged and far from pristine, I don't really see Lionsgate releasing this themselves on a physical format.
