As the title announces Darren Lynn Bousman's 'Mother's Day', has been released on DVD in Germany.
I've had the pleasure of seeing the film and have to say the movie is great, definately worth seeing, can't see what the hold up is there in the US, but they need to get the movie out there, readers of this site are gonna love it!

Saw it last night. I agree, it was enjoyable. Rebecca De Mornay was great in the lead role as Mother. Nasty yet not over the top. I had hoped it might be a bit more brutal, but it still satisfied. There were enough nods to the original to maintain some sort or semblance to the original. I'd give it 8/10

saw this the other day, and it is FANTASTIC! i loved it so much, definitely one of my top favorite remakes. it actually bares VERY VERY little resemblance to the original film. Rebecca De Mornay is amazing as Mother. This along with The Hand That Rocks The Cradle are easily her 2 best performances of her career. The movie was brutal and harsh as fuck too, I cannot see this getting an R rating in the US without being trimmed here and there. Some of the violence totally took me back, it was pretty insane. I cannot believe this has yet to be released here though, it really is a terrific film, and all the performances were wonderful as well. Darren Lynne Bousman's best film to date in my opinion.

Got to agree with what people have posted so far. This was fun and gory film. Much better then I expected. I have only seen the original once but it didn't leave much of an impression on me. This certainly did.

The Blu has a reversible cover (same artwork but without the rating logo).

Had fears it would be another bad last house or I spit remake, But this turned out to be quite a good movie even on its own merit
