Creepshow anthology series from Greg Nicotero coming to Shudder

I thought everyone looked forward to Halloween. I believe she lives in the states now, but I saw a picture of that one Australian bikini girl dressed as one of the Star Wars girls with the tendrils once for Halloween.

There are only a few holidays like Halloween where you can decorate your house. Halloween, Christmas, Easter, and perhaps birthdays. I don't paint and hide the eggs for Easter anymore though. But still, it's something fun during the year.

I know I watch Australian Open tennis and that's supposed to be summer. Halloween would feel a bit odd if you grew up in American Fall / Autumn with the leaves changing color and a bit of chill in the air. And then lived in Australian Spring during October.

 

Oh, I'm sure all the horror fans look forward to it as a novelty, but it's definitely not the same atmosphere over here. Even our Christmas kind of sucks because it's usually so hot and the opposite of what I picture Christmas as. I kind of wish those holidays were season based so we could at least have a cold Christmas and Halloween in the Fall lol.

 

I guess there is always artificial snow. I read about a mall somewhere in the Middle East that has an artificial indoor skiing area. I imagine it's possible to have a small room with indoor fake snow like they have in store displays.

 

Haha, that's great. Sadly, I doubt anyone would want that due to the mess! I'd be there till next Christmas trying to clean it all up

 

For the home, fake snow not the artificial or manufactured snow. That would be a disaster in the home. Something like this. Surely they have setups like this in Australian stores during Christmas?

 

Ah, yes if it's that cotton type stuff then that would be alright. I'm sure I could get that here.

 

Season 2 premiered yesterday on Shudder. I loved both episodes.

Wiki on the second part sounds interesting. But I remember not being impressed with the first season.

 

Yeah I though the first 2 episodes were fun, the second is a homage shall we call it to a very well known horror movie, I won't spoil it here, but it made me smile and the episode was very enjoyable. Yes a very good start and both are much better than anything in the first season.

 

Yeah, that was fun, kinda felt like a spin-off

I also watched the holiday special, "Shapeshifters Anonymous", which was pretty crazy, though not as good as the first episodes of this season.

 

I'm having trouble mustering the enthusiasm after how terrible the first season was.

 

Totally understand, but if you are already subscribed to shudder it's got to be worth a gamble. You've read positive comments here with the same people acknowledging the first series was a dud and each episode is only about 23 mins each.

 

This weeks episodes was fun as well.

Though I wish they had used a guy with makeup, for the creeper.
That "muppet" still looks and moves like crap.

You would think that KNB would be able to make an animatronic, to match the quality of the crypt keeper.
Sure, Tales from a Crypt had a much bigger budget, but still, that was 30 years ago.

 

Got to say I was disappointed with these. The first was ok, but there was a much better episode in there and they missed the boat. The second was just bad, I had no idea what the fuck was going on, effects were fun that was it for me.
