Unbelievable. Sold out in seven hours.
It's not surprising though. And I'm sure the scalpers scored a few hundred of them...at least.
It'll be readily available on ebay now, at highly inflated prices of course.
I'm just glad I scored a copy...
thank god iam worn out of this movie. so i dont have to bother..
LOL, I just now got the e-mail from Twilight Time announcing that Christine and The Fury are up for pre-order.
Good thing I pay attention to forums or I would have missed out.
me too just woke up, went to pre order it and it's already gone........
oh well happy birthday to me
Maybe somebody here that bought multiple copies can help you out.
I only ordered one myself. I just really didn't want to deprive any fan of the film getting in on a copy.
Will it be possible for this movie to eventually be available on blu ray in not limited quantities in the form of a re-release or a different release by a different studio?
I have my orders up, but this lack of copies is Twilight´s fault.
I mean, in the beginning it was 10 copies per customer.
I was very surprised to see that all the extras were carried over from the dvd.
Not in North America. This title will be OOP in North America until March 2016 at the earliest. Twilight Time's licenses are for 3,000 copies and grant them exclusivity rights in North America for three years. If the title sells out within that period, it's gone until the exclusivity period is over.
Sony could still feasibly release Christine on another continent though.
Yup scored a copy too. Not a huge fan of this film in particular but I love Carpenter and his 80s output was better than what he made in the 90s.
Damn. Just got the email this morning and they were gone. Oh well. I don't really love Christine and my DVD is good enough for me. I really would have liked the isolated score though. No biggie.
I'm really surprised that THE FURY isn't neck-and-neck with CHRISTINE -- I would've thought the majority of people buying one would buy the other, and honestly I think THE FURY is the better film!
I believe that many people that bought one bought the other, but don´t forget that scalpers had a time window where the could pre-order 10 copies of Christine, which is the most sought title of the two.
It appears that some auctions for the pre-order have been selling at $110. I'm betting that the after market will get a bit saturated and the price will settle to around $60 or a bit less. Might take a while after that for it to increase again.
Got a copy of The Fury. Why do they sell more then 2 copies per person ? That sucks
Some copies on Ebay already sold out for 100 bucks and more!!So glad i got 2 copies!!
This is setting a dangerous president. Screen Archive's system is fair for smaller titles but for even medium titles it's just not enough. I was lucky to get my order in on time. (for a single copy of Christine and Fury)
How fast is The Blob going to sell out now? I hope nobody buys Christine on eBay and vulture get a wake up call on this. I appreciate that Twilight Time wants to sell every copy of every title, but at this rate they're just selling to scalpers who then turn around and make twice as much. If you're selling an item at one price, someone snatches up all available copies and sell them for twice as much, then there's something wrong with your model.
I really want to rip those "scalpers" to pieces. :fire::fire::fire:
And don´t even try to tell TT to start at 2 copies per costumer over at Facebook, the fucking TT fanboys will rip you a new one.
Well, I wonder how THEY would have felt if they also got the pre-order mail AFTER "Christine" sold out
I sent TT a mail about this "scalpers" situation, and basically got this "Fuck you, we don´t care, as we sold out" message:
"We appreciate your comments and support - we are reviewing our policy going forward - thanks"
Auto response anyone?
