Glorious. Sooo glorious!
May this line last for a long time (and include Evil Dead 2)!
Glorious!!! My god I never thought this day would come!
Fantastic, hopefully this means the vestron vaults will be mined!!
And WOW nice selection of extra's, more than people imagined.
Dammit, I just posted on the Blood Diner thread I thought $40 was a bit much for these but I'd easily pay that much for that Chopping Mall special edition. Personal favorite. Nicely done, Vestron!
Sitting at 27.99 on Amazon as of 8-21. So cool seeing that Vestron logo on the cover. Loved watching Vestron stuff! Bring it on!
Will these definitely be LIMITED editions?
I haven't read any official details about just how limited these will be. I'm thinking these will be limited in the sense that Disney animated films are limited. They'll release them, sell as many copies as they can, and then announce at some point that the films are going back into the vault.
$24.97 at Bull Moose
there are a lot of films under the vestron label they could put out, Vestroy put out everything in the 80's it seems like. I can't get any of them lol, not with all the stuff coming out from Vinegar Syndrome, and Severin, and Blue Underground, and Arrow, and yeah you get the idea, but if they stay in print for 12 years maybe I can get them then. There is a literal flood of great stuff coming out on blu ray right now, and I am getting as many as I can, but I'm still missing out on many I'd like to get. I am avoiding the high priced stuff because there is a lot of lower priced blu rays, of great films I'm wanting too, $40 for some of these releases is just a bit silly I think, I pick up the DVD release when the blu ray releases are that expensive.
Chopping Mall review: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Chopping-Mall-Blu-ray/82406/#Review
dag, this review only gives it a 3.5 not so blu really raves about the picture..
What are you talking about? They recommend it at the end of the review and even mention the picture looking substantially better than previous versions.
Ronnie just seems to only see the stars in a review, and doesn't go on to read the actual text in the review.
Anyways, I just ordered this and Blood Diner from Barnes & Noble earlier. $22 each with the 20% off coupon, and they should be here in a few days.
Rock Shock Pop review:
If you are comparing quality transfers where a 5.0 is a transfer of a modern day big budget Hollywood film produced by Bad Robot or Lucasfilms, then no matter how much you polish a low budget film from the mid 80s it is likely never going to come close to that 5.0. 3.5 sounds about right to me.
Especially compared to the basically 0.5 that Lionsgate released last time.
This and Blood Diner just arrived at my office. I gotta say I haven't been this excited in a while. It feels like the impossible has happened and nice editions of these favorites from my youth are actually in my hand.
I don't always get to feel the vibe of my youth, but this is hitting the right notes.
Any link to the 20% off coupon?
Absolute blast, this one. I forgot how fun it was, tight, and well written. Just got done with the Blu.
The current 20% off coupon is: F7V8H7U
