Yeah, he emailed me back with that info. Too bad I live in Canada, and I won't be able to afford/take time off to check out Cinema Wasteland. Someday hopefully.

Glen Coburn will be selling his DVD at Cinema Wasteland this weekend. I believe he'll have some shirts with him as well. Make sure you pick some Bloodsuckers stuff tomorrow.

The shirts are way cool. Front says Bloodsuckers from Outer Space and the back says" They're Out For Blood" as per the theme song. The Cinema Wasteland showings and such went well. Glen also has some mini posters for sale as well. Get ahold of him at his email or on Myspace/Bloodsuckersfromspace.

I have the DVD and it is a beautiful print along with a making of/reunion with the cast and crew. Truly a sight to behold. Glen has done a great job and should get a round of applause for making this available to the fans.

i'm interested in buying this, but what can i expect? is it a gorefest? is it an amateur film? does it have great effects or is it filmed in someone's backyard? the cover looks cool though :)

It's been a favorite of mine since the 80s. It's more of a bloodbath than a gorefest although there are some torn arms and such. It was shot on film and transferred from the 35mm print.
I'll try to do my best Joe Bob:100s of gallons of blood, kung fu,boobs, torn limbs, cool theme song, sarcastic dialogue,Pat Paulsen, making fun of rednecks. A must have. Devo1313 says check it out. Four stars. Thumbs up.

I got the DVD the other day in the mail. The transfer if pretty darn good. It's definitely crisp compared to my VHS of the movie. I haven't watched the whole movie yet on the DVD, just did a quick compare for quality check. I also haven't finished watching the reunion special feature, but it is very good so far. Glen also autographed my DVD as well.

If you haven't emailed Glen to get a copy yourself, do it now!

I wanted to pick this up on DVD but now I see that in addition to the 2008 Shriek Show disc there is also a more recent 30th Anniversary Edition released by a company called Whacked Films back in 2014. Does anyone have the latter release and, if so, how is it? Since I've never heard of this company, is it a real DVD and not a DVD-R? There doesn't appear to be a single review of this disc anywhere, not even on sites where it is sold... Is the newer release 16:9 or is this movie supposed to be 4:3?

Whacked Films is the director Glen Coburn's company, so it'd be the same transfer as the original self-release or the Shriek Show disc (which used the same transfer) I'd imagine. Don't know whether it's a pressed disc or DVD-R though, and I honestly can't remember if my copy (original director release) was a DVD-R or not, I'd have to check when I get home.
