As I absolutely hated the first film (I did see it in the theater) I'll most likely pass.

Well, we now know what the #2 pick will be on Paffs Top 10 list in October.

I will def. check this out. I enjoyed the original but it has been a good 10 years since I have seen it. I'm one of the few that enjoyed the sequel as well.

Wow. This isn't even on the IMDb. I... I don't know what to think about this.

Looks interesting enough. I'll keep my expectations in check because I doubt this will hold a candle to the original.

I am a huge fan of the original movie - and I enjoyed the 2nd movie although I understand the hate for it. I want to see this but left a little lukewarm by that trailer - it looks almost a little too glossy and generic but at the same time had some cool looking bits in it- so hard to tell by a trailer. I am surprised this is the first I have heard of it - and I will see it!

The original film would have been the masterpiece everyone said it was if 1 of 2 things were different: either the characters were tolerable and not the worst in horror history, or if they had continued being the worst and their deaths were the stuff of legend- all fully onscreen and nastier/even more mean-spirited than Dead Dudes in the House.

This new sequel (or whatever it is) actually manages to get something elemental and utterly crucial to the formula completely wrong: you're not supposed to show what the hell is going on.

Congratulations, new movie. You blew it. This franchise is officially now 0/3.

In an age where we know most everything about a film a year before it is released, I love the way Lionsgate kept the truth about this under wraps. I love the original and hated the sequel, but the mythology of the series is so interesting that I'll be there opening weekend for 3. I've also seen a quote going around from a review of the new film that says it is "a monster movie" which gets me very excited. I could see even people who hated the original because "you don't see anything" digging that aspect of this new one.

Also must say I'm am extremely excited for a new Blair Witch film. Loved the original and really enjoy the much-disliked sequel. While I don't like everything Wingard/Barrett have created, I must admit they are a good fit for this new film.

Haha I get it. You're being ironic about how people prejudged ghostbusters right? Good one:p

If by prejudged you think most of the people who hated the new movie absolutely despised the original as well, than yeah.
