Knowing Warner, it's more than likely to be just the same disc and new artwork...possibly a Digibook. Warner are kings of that crap.

Instead of a sequel it got a animated series and NES video game.

I actually watched this again on Netflix the other day. While it's a pretty easy watch sort of film it has a weird flow to it. It kind of feels like it ends just when things seem to be kicking into gear and getting interesting. I think part of that issue for me is there really isn't much Beetlejuice in it till towards the end.
The effects are all pretty fun and wacky though and I like the cast. Still, this is just one of those films I don't need to own. Glad to see a nice 4K set for it though.

I never picked up this up on blu-ray since the reviews were lukewarm. I will buy this day one if it has a new transfer.

Oh man this was a childhood movie I watched relentlessly so I'm getting this for sure. I can understand people not being into it now on a first time viewing, but I still think it's one of Burton's best films. Glad Warner finally decided to release a UHD, a 4K DCP had made the rounds in a limited release for the film's 30th anniversary back in 2018. Between this, The Goonies and Dawn of the Dead all coming out this fall, if there's one good thing to come of 2020 it'll be the amount of great UHD releases we got.

This was a second time viewing for me. I was pretty much feeling the same way about it when I first watched it more than 10 years ago now. It's a weird one because I don't totally dislike it but it also doesn't totally work for me. Something like Edward Scissorhands I've only seen once but loved (and need to watch again).
