Funny how at Familyvideo the standard dvd version of Battle Royale Collection at $16.99 is currently their best seller. And it's in stock.

I did the same, but I don't mind waiting.

I'll just have to live with my existing 3 or 4 copies of the film until it arrives. Haha.

That's fucked, you must have placed your order before mine. I got it in the mail today. Funny thing is I hadn't planned on watching it any time soon. I'll have to watch it now so you can all live vicariously through me.

The case is between the size of a regular DVD and a Blu-ray case so I have to wonder what size the DVD collection is. If it weren't for some fine print saying Blu-ray I wouldn't have guessed it as such at first glance. Maybe the DVD set is bigger.

I don't want to be "that guy", but once again, I got screwed by the damn cardboard case scratching the discs. The sequel has two small scratches, and the DVD looks like a Netflix DVD (okay I'm exaggerating a little there). In case anyone doesn't know, the packaging is the same as the Alien, Star Wars and Stanley Kubrick boxsets. I carefully removed the discs, inspected them, and put them in a normal case (same as all the others I mentioned above). Every disc from my Stanley Kubrick set was scratched, and Warner promptly replaced them. Now I know that I'm nitpickicking, but some people are anal about slipcovers, I'm anal about scratched discs (especially blu-rays, which is difficult to do). Can the studios dispense with the cardboard cases please? End of rant.

Thankfully none of the discs in my set were scratched, but I can definitely see the design flaw. I did however have fingerprints on one of the discs.

Still waiting on a shipment email. Family Video's site still lists this as out of stock "more on the way soon". I'm hoping the wait isn't much longer as I really want this set.

I hate book style packaging. I prefer cases that actually protect the discs (which I'm pretty sure is the entire purpose of a case to begin with?).

I'm glad I didn't jump on this deal. I'll wait for it to drop to $10 or for Anchor Bay to re-release it in a normal case. I'm not that big on the movie anyway, so I'm okay with waiting.

Some people will gladly pay that too. There are people who swear by only buying things in B&M stores. Which I really don't understand, since it's far easier returning stuff to an online retailer like Amazon than messing with returning crap in a store like Best Buy.

Well it looks like you should have ordered as a lot of people are getting this and it is showing up in a plain amaray case. The book packaging was very limited apparently.

My Complete Collection showed up today from Family Video - regular snapper plastic case like all Bu's with 2 binder thingys inside with a disc on each side. I guess this is not the cardboard book case thing people have been complaining about - no scratches or fingerprints that I noticed.

You seem to be the minority Senor Emilio. I probably wouldn't care either.

The book casing may be a bit of a collectors item by the sounds of it though- so even if its not as practical will probably hold a little more value
