An American Werewolf in London is a master class in how to perfectly blend horror and humor IMO. This is a movie I absolutely adore and have since the first time I saw it. Everything just falls so perfectly into place. It was so well-written and conceived it’s such a smart film. My favourite Landis film for sure, and one of my all-time favourite horror movies.

New titles for February have been announced:

    Deadly Manor

    One Missed Call Trilogy

    Daniel Isn't Real (UK only)

It's good to see more Larraz coming out. Vinegar Syndrome reportedly has Rest in Pieces coming out next October as well.

Very excited for Savage Lust aka Deadly Manor! I like it more than Edge Of The Axe.

That's a hell of a sale. $9.99 for The Pyjama Girl Case is damn good.

LOL! Damn and I thought the Arrow warehouse sale was great. This is better! Unfortunately I bought almost everything I needed then except for a few Bava titles only available in the UK. And I used points to get "free" S&H when they've got it here when you spend over $50 (which I did anyways).

    Thanks Kat!

That's a steal for DePalma DeNiro set. Got that and Gas Food Lodging.

I highly recommend Scalpel if anyone here is missing that from their collection. Tawdry southern Gothic tale from the director of Blood Rage.

Yep. Italian movie filmed in Australia. It's tough to talk about it without spoiling anything, but the reason it's a good blind buy is that the moment it ends, you will immediately want to watch it all over again. And that's all I'll say.

Dammit. I promised myself I wouldn't go crazy on this sale. Hell, I just got my Black Friday Vinegar Syndrome discs, so I'm at no shortage for stuff to watch.

I held myself to just 3 discs. Then I'm looking at that $8.95 shipping. If I add three more (another $20 than what I was already committed to paying), shipping was free.
So I got the first three films in the Battles without Humanity series.

...and mine arrived earlier. It's a pretty nice looking Slip. The card stock is thicker than the Scared Stiff exclusive was, and this one has some very slightly embossed glossy elements on it also.

Here are some screenshots from the Blu-ray.

And someone else already posted some good pics of what the Slip looks like here: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=17220165&postcount=134 — you can't really see the glossy embossed elements in the pics, but they are where the "Edge of the Axe" title appears on the front/back/spine and what resembles the sticker on the front cover and the photos on the back cover.

Nice! I love how they used the back of the original VHS for the back of the LE Diabolik slipcover. Can't wait till mine arrives (hopefully before week's end).

Been hitting up some of the movies I got from that MVD sale (and yes, Hook, I did get Scalpel). Man, I just can't get into the Battles Without Honor or Humanity series. Still haven't been able to watch the first one all the way through. I have no idea who is who, or what they're doing.

Over the weekend I popped in Suspicious Death of a Minor. The knock that this is a police film and not a giallo is spot on, but I enjoy police films. This one has a lot of the unmistakable Sergio Martino style though. There's two actresses from Suspiria in this. Oddly enough, I didn't notice Barbara Magnolfi ("My name is Olga and you'll be my tenant") despite a prominent role and her name in the credits. But I immediately recognized one character's mom as the cook from Suspiria, even in one short uncredited scene. That face is unforgettable.
