I watched Iguana with the Tongue of Fire last night - I had seen bits and pieces, but talk about a film not living up to its reputation.

Exactly what sort og reputation does it have? I only saw it once and found it dull, and the gory effects it does have are too crude to save it.

It was always talked about as being super grisly but I had the same reaction as you: I found it dull with cheap effects.

    Robocop is off the hook!

Sadly it seems the Flesh and Steel doc and the vintage Making and Shooting RoboCop featurettes aren't there, but hopefully that will change soon.

While I do enjoy Robocop the inexpensive (currently only $6.38 on Amazon) director's cut blu-ray had a very nice transfer and a ton of great extras. I don't see double dipping on this one.

Yeah, that's where I am with both this and my Criterion FEAR & LOATHING. I don't really need to buy either of these titles yet again. It's awesome for those who haven't bought them several times over though.

How many home video releases of Robocop has there been? Seems like that movie gets a different release every few years.

I mean I want to get the Robocop release but I feel like there's surely a 4k release around the corner. Arrow really should have made this their first 4k disc.
