I must say I was surprised to find that out and think the clear ones are much better. I also agree that it's not that big a deal either though. Eco cases are what should be eliminated. I hate that the Halloween Collection has these. Good, expensive set, why use such cheap cases for it? All they do is break more easily and give you more chance to potentially damage the art.
No kidding, they damage artwork a lot in my experience and I try to just replace them whenever possible. Their impact is minimal at best, and a lot of people just replace them anyway because they're usually so cheap and flimsy. Fast food restaurants aren't going to use plastic eco-cups that have cut-outs and don't do their job well. I equate eco-cases with daylight savings time... it's unneeded bullshit that causes its own problems and any gains are minimal against the pains it creates. If they'd just stick to using more recycled plastic in normal cases instead, no one would probably even object.

I kinda have to wonder... Why not more for John Zacherle? Outside of his actual horror hosting duties this was his largest role. Obviously Henenlotter was a fan since he hired him out a few times. And obviously they had access to Henenlotter for the new commentary and Q&A... So why not have Henenlotter sit down and give a little tribute for example? Give some wrap around about his history. 5-10 minutes. Would be great inclusion for a set like this to kinda help horror fans appreciate him some more. Maybe Listen to the Light or Animating Elmer will but I doubt it. It would be largely out of place in a Brain Damage documentary. He's big in NY, so have some of these NY'ers talk about him!
Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but I'm getting reports from friends that House 3 and 4 in the UK set will play fine in an American PS4. I cancelled my US preorder and ordered the full collection on Amazon UK. Only cost me $4 more for another two films.

Is the UK House set still available? I almost ordered it last month but I read something about it being sold out already.
I don't know for sure... Amazon UK is currently OOS. Arrow's website no longer lists it that I could find, and no luck on Zavvi either. Diabolik appears to no longer have it either. I received my pre-order yesterday from Amazon UK, awesome set! The hardback book looks like it'll be a great read.
I am baffled as to why arrow would encode their DVDs in NTSC. I mean it doesn't hurt anybody if their blus are multi-region. But this means the dvds ostensibly made for the European market are encoded in a way that makes them unplayable on the industry standard machines in that market. Anybody who has a PAL player and wants these films on DVD is fucked. I feel bad for those people (however few they may be).
Maybe it's a rights' thing. If they are only being licensed the rights to release the film in a certain territory, they might only have the right to encode the disc in That region...
